For a new part of our business, we have input staff details on Bright HR. There have been times when calls have been made to the helpline for guidance. It does not take long to get to know the staff you are speaking to. In relation to the query addressed with a team member today the service was excellent. Matthew has a great depth of knowledge of the system and works through the shift and annual leave calculations at the click of a finger. Thank you Mathew for your support, you are a star!

You can run as many payrolls as you want at no extra charge. This is great for companies with lots of moving parts and hourly employees. Account manager is best to communicate to over email, but can call in and won’t get siloed to one area or be on the phone forever. As far as Yearend- so far, no problem with the implementation. Paperless onboarding is a lot more seamless than other systems. Admins don't need to add too much info to get the employees started on new hire paperwork. Adding pay types to timecards can track no call, no shows, or call offs. Using the Cost centers are great. Standard reporting isn’t as great, but I've created a lot of great reports from scratch! Lots of ability to create processes with the system through tasks and workflows. Very systematic. I love the ATS with Paylocity and get a lot of candidates through Jobtarget.
Read full review Pros When a query has been dealt with via the helpline an email confirming the outcome is often issued which is great for reference at any time. The system is easy to use and the screens are clutter free. The support service offered is easy to access and the staff are friendly and helpful. Read full review Customer Support. While I have not and typically don’t speak with our actual account exec. Going through the support line is easy and I’m usually connected very quickly. User experience is simple and easy. Employees are able to navigate through the site with little guidance and it’s very intuitive Onboarding is easy to navigate and easily automated. Read full review Cons Direct-dial telephone numbers rather than going through the Peninsula helpline numbers. Setting up annual leave profiles often needs the assistance of a Bright HR representative when staff works quirky shifts. Providing examples of how to set the system up in user guides may help to set the system upright the first time. Read full review It is very hard to run reports. THe reporting section is not clear and not user friendly. Paylocity COBRA is a feature that is extremely hard to use and poor customer service. Functionality can be different depending on what page you are on in Paylocity. It should all be consistent and uniform. Read full review Likelihood to Renew
The transition from my old provider to Paylocity was virtually painless. I always felt well supported by my account rep. I would use Paylocity again, but I'm not in a position to change providers at my current company right now.

Although it is fairly easy to use, there are some processes that just don't make munch sense. For example, if an employee has 2 bank accounts and the funds are returned from one account the process to reissue is TEDIOUS and confusing. Unless you want to PAY for Paylocity to do it for you. I think the manual process should be as easy for us.

Solid network - down for upgrades at late hours during the weekend when I am definitely not in the system to use it. Even if I was, they provide excellent advance notice.

It's so manual, not automated or intuitive.

The frustrations I have with Paylocity customer support are what drove me to leave a review in the first place so I can warn anyone considering purchasing this product. I really like the software and it has a lot of great features, but my complete distrust of their customer service has led me to rue the day I chose Paylocity to be our payroll vendor. For one thing, they are often slow to respond. That alone might be manageable, except even when I do get a response, half the time the answers are incomplete/not helpful, if not completely incorrect! Imagine waiting 90 days and paying thousands of dollars for a corrected W2 only for it to come back more incorrect than it was when you started, and not only that but they also made me question my sanity trying to convince me that they were correct when it was BLATANTLY wrong - and that's just one example! Sometimes you might be lucky to get a decent customer service rep using the chat help feature, but most of the time whoever you talk to does not seem to have any more knowledge of the system than you do. I am a patient person and I have a lot of grace for administrative errors (we're all human) but Paylocity customer service is consistently unreliable and sometimes unprofessional to boot. To their credit, the sales and implementation teams do seem really good. It seems like maybe they just can't retain good customer service reps. We've been through several account managers without ever having a good experience.

I would make sure you have a dedicated team at Paylocity to complete the implementation. We had staff from Paylocity quit and things were not completed properly. They dropped the ball so to speak on that portion of it. we have encountered multiple issues since then and are still not using the Time off tracking to its full capabilities.

I chose BrightHR as it offered a one-stop platform for HR management for which we have dedicated UK and ROI HR specialists who not only give HR advice but also write policies and handbooks, etc. They are a one-stop-shop, which was very important as when I signed the contract I did not have an HR person in my team and they were essentially my back office. Also, by signing up, I got access to Bright Safe too; which is great as again it's a one-stop-shop for Health and Safety in the workplace. So I can roll out toolbox talks, training, and accident management.

We used to do Payroll on physical timesheets, so obviously Paylocity has saved us a lot of time, both when recording the number of hours, but also in fixing errors and making sure that there are no mistakes. Now, I can keep track of student pay much easier and with much less error-checking than previously!

Read full review Paylocity's poor service levels in the development of our PTO policies have INCREASED the time needed to manage the process exponentially and significantly DECREASED HR's credibility in the organization. Benefits management is a disaster. We've been working for months on a reimbursement issue with the COBRA team that will result in us changing vendors.
