Paylocity is similar in features to UKG. I think UKG's reporting features are better but I think Paylocity's Payroll process is much better. Cost is much better with Paylocity as well.
Paylocity makes running reports easier. Plus we use Paylocity for more HR things like onboarding, and recruiting/hiring. It is nice to have everything in one place!
ADP TotalSource was a lot more expensive than Paylocity. The features in Totalsource were nice, but the savings moving out of it paid for a new person to come on and still save money. Paylocity has plenty of items that can be added if you want a more robust system.

Paylocity is significantly easier to use and is much more straightforward than Workday. They offer customer service, and the customer service nearly immediately answers the phone and can help. It is a night and day difference.

Paylocity is way more user friendly and organized than other systems I use. When looking for a feature, it's easy to navigate and usually where I assume to look first. When dealing with a challenging issue, their reps are always available to support.
Paylocity just adds a whole other layer of information and services that Heartland did not do for us. Heartland did not have the New Hire information, or employee engagement.
