User-friendly and easy to navigate
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is our main solutions provider. We love that Paylocity enables our employees to update their personal information and access their check stubs and W-2s through use of the self-service profile. We also utilize Paylocity for all of our onboarding and payroll tasks. Paylocity makes these processes streamlined and efficient. Another way we utilize Paylocity is through its annual engagement and quarterly pulse surveys, which are very helpful to us in tracking employee engagement and retention.
Pros
- Automated payroll process, including off-cycle payrolls
- Keeping employee data organized together in one place
- Generating surveys for tracking employee engagement and retention
- Makes onboarding streamlined and efficient
Cons
- Regarding the withholding forms task, employees used to be able to complete them without any issue previously. Now there is a scroll bar on the far right-hand side that is mostly hidden. They must scroll all the way to the bottom to complete this task, and most applicants don't see it. Our client consultant created a video which we are able to send to them with further instructions for completing this task. This has been immensely helpful, but it would definitely save time if we didn't have to do this step in the first place.
- Paylocity no longer allows us to verify an employee's direct deposit information in the onboarding packet, which has created numerous issues with incorrectly set-up accounts and off-cycle payrolls.
- The PERC task, it used to require employees to input their PERC number. This was important for verification purposes, and now it no longer requires them to do that.
- Reduced errors in timekeeping and payroll
- Improved employee retention through engagement and pulse surveys
- Better workforce visibility through clear, streamlined tracking of employee data and performance metrics
- Reduced time expenditure onboarding new hires
Paylocity's automation tools have significantly reduced the time-expenditure of processing payroll and manual data entry errors, which has enabled HR to spend more time on employee engagement and retention, as well as other important initiatives. This has not only saved time but also reduced costly errors and improved employee satisfaction as well.
The community peer recognition has been a wonderful motivator for our employees and has increased employee engagement and satisfaction by making employees feel recognized for the impact they are making in a meaningful way. The engagement, quarterly pulse, and exit surveys have all been very helpful in identifying which areas have impacted employee engagement and satisfaction in a positive way and which areas could be improved. This has given our employees a voice to express any concerns and also to share what things they love most. We have also been able to send out how-to videos through Paylocity in the community as well, which have really helped employees in navigating certain processes (i.e. accessing check stubs, updating direct deposit). This has improved employee engagement and satisfaction by ensuring they understand how to navigate these processes.

No. We did not need this additional service. The majority of our requests have involved assistance with payroll processes (i.e. voided checks and running off-cycle payrolls etc.) and other miscellaneous technical support requests (i.e. user access requests, resetting employee passwords, etc.). The support we have received over the phone and by emailing the service team for these issues has been sufficient.
Yes - This is one area where we have experienced some frustration. There have been a couple of technical issues / bugs we reported that we are still waiting to receive a resolution on. One of these items is the withholding forms task in the employee onboarding packet. Employees were previously able to complete this task without any issue. Now there is a scroll bar on the far right-hand side that is mostly hidden. Employees must scroll all the way to the bottom to complete this task, and most applicants don't see it. We have a follow-up call scheduled with our account manager and her team lead to discuss this issue and are hoping it will be resolved soon. Another issue I have been experiencing is with a security feature requiring me to enter a code each time I log-in. Our other admin users in the company do not experience this same issue. The account manager I spoke with was very kind and helpful and really did his best to look into this issue with his support team. However, it appears to be a complex issue that requires further technical support.
All the support specialists we've spoken with have been so helpful and kind! I recently spoke with an account manager named Jesus Ortiz, who was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the process of voiding a check and reissuing a same-day ACH payment. He also assisted me on another occasion and even provided one of the knowledge articles to have as a reference guide. Jacob Rayyan, the account manager I spoke with on my last call impressed me as well. He was so knowledgeable and assisted me in troubleshooting several different issues on our call. He also impressed me with me his prompt follow-up and even offered that I could reach out directly if I had any additional questions and needed further assistance. I really appreciated his proactive support and guidance in this way! On a final note, our client consultant Trevor Bartlett has been phenomenal. We spoke with him regarding our concerns with the Paylocity onboarding tasks, and he really went above and beyond to look into these issues and let leadership know regarding our concerns. He also created a video we could use to assist employees with the withholding forms task, which has been a very helpful work-around.
