Likelihood to Recommend For day to day work and official virtual meetings/calls the headsets are best suited. They are compact, handy, lightweight with a dynamic mic and good control. However, I don't think that for intense audio recording and voice modulations I'll rely on the products because the market is so diversified and on branding part there are so many options available which directly affects Cisco's market. So, for busy jam packed with work office day if you need good comfortable experience Cisco Headsets come very handy.
Read full review It is well suited, I believe, in small to mid-level organization where use will be light to moderate. It is useful in a situation where both ends have the same equipment, the same model and the same software release upon them. A scenario where it might be less appropriate is single-use installations and large corporate environments. Though in the future it may become more adapted to the 'open range' of telephony systems right now the system is best when working with others of its kind. It is also inappropriate in a situation where the organization does not have a fully developed Information Technology team or arrangement with a telephony contractor to handle the devices when things go wrong.
Read full review Pros Cancel the noise side of things. You can't hear anything in the background. I quite often talk really loud because I can't hear myself talking and it's comfortable. They are really comfortable. We've got the wireless ones and they just sit so comfortably on your head. Amazing. Read full review The microphones are extremely sensitive. They make it easier for soft spoken individuals to be heard clearly. It is easy to operate. Once connected through Outlook all it takes is one click to get to into a meeting and two or three to bring in outside attendees. Read full review Cons Being able to adjust the sound profiles from places other than a phone app Make it so the USB wireless dongle is reliable The touch controls on the outside don't always seem to work reliably the ones on the back work just fine Read full review Our greatest disappointment in Polycom Trio was the lag in using the screen, it wasn't nearly as intuitive and "snappy" as the iPads were. Paired next to the iPad's, the Polycom Trio was much more expensive and couldn't be a justified member of our mass Zoom Room adoption. Read full review Usability I have yet to find a use case where the 730 is not appropriate. The audio quality and active noise cancellation capabilities are excellent, and the portability puts it above many alternatives.
Read full review A well known product that most users are familiar with and simple enough for new users to learn and understand.
Read full review Support Rating Too expensive and too heavy and too uncomfortable. It just didn't deliver the experience that we thought we would get based on the price. I can get the same features, for cheaper, with a more comfortable headset from another vendor. So overall this one just never got put on the final list.
Read full review I have never contacted support for this product.
Read full review Alternatives Considered We selected Cisco headsets because of our long-term existing partnership with Cisco, something we value. But that being said, there are competitor headsets that I've seen at the same price that offer far more functionality, which I guess could be improved in the Cisco headsets.
Read full review Polycom Trio provides better conference call quality, picks up voice from corners of the room with additional mics for large room, better widescreen display, and it was mostly the user satisfaction which made us choose Polycom Trio.
Read full review Return on Investment Superior quality has enhanced overall experience of meeting and calls High compability and Ability to connect to wide range of devices have increased ease of working Decent battery life and quick-charge is desirable for long calls Pairing fails sometimes and requires multiple tries which is time consuming Unintentional unmuting/muting during client call can cause major issues. There is requirement for a smart mute feature Read full review Since we were really looking for a device that could provide Skype for Business Online services (web conferencing/video/audio/local screen presenting) at a reasonable price point, I cannot say that this device meets all of our needs. The device has to be at least 99.99% reliable. This is about 60% there. Audio is definitely in the 99% range. Local screen presenting is probably around 75%. Video and web conferencing is about 70%. To comfortably deploy a device in the wild you really need to have 99% reliability. It has to work when its needed. I can understand an occasional hiccup, but one every other day is a too many. If you are replacing older SoundStations with an IP or Skype based audio solution, then this is it. Read full review ScreenShots Cisco Headsets Screenshots
