ClearSlide

ClearSlide is quite easy to use and effective when presenting information and sharing screen. It's also easy for the prospect to access your site; they just click on a link. If an inside sales manager was looking to find out where his/her team might be losing prospects, Clearslide would be a great choice because the analytics show exactly how engaged a prospect is and at what point they start to lose interest. There is a monthly cost/annual contract involved to Clearslide, so for a startup that is very cost-conscious it might be best to investigate free conference/screenshare options, but the case could be made that the analytics will earn back the fee.

Zoom

Zoom has a smooth interface and the simultaneous audio, video conferencing features, and screen sharing options are mentionable advantages. For saving time and increased efficiency of meetings, Zoom is one of the best communication tools. Zoom is unfitted for unlimited time-based virtual meetings without any cost. It does not have [an] instant link creating facility like google meet.

  • CS easily loads in any web browser for client-facing meetings, which is awesome. No longer having to rely on an application of plug-in loading to present slides or do a screen share makes things simple for our teams and clients.
  • CS Outlook Plugin is very handy. Being able to share links to collateral from an existing email window pane has been incredibly helpful. This feature is a serious improvement from the earlier version of CS where you could only create links to collateral via their browser site.
  • The tracking capabilities that CS has embedded with linked collateral have been helpful in our client engagement strategy as an organization. Seeing what a client has viewed and for how long helps us know what they care about. Also, if they forward or share the information, we can also track that engagement.

  • Supports Large Audiences – Some conference call providers only allow 25-100 people in a video or audio meeting. Large meeting licenses from Zoom allow you to have meetings with 500-1,000 people.

  • I don't love the conference line. The recording message at the beginning is particularly annoying.
  • I also wish it were easier to share multiple links quicker. It's somewhat of a cumbersome process.
  • It can occasionally be challenging to find the right materials to share at the moment quick enough.

  • The mobile application does not display some of the features that are available on the desktop version also it should be integrated with Dropbox or other similar applications so that one can have the full backup of the data.
  • Another drawback is, sometimes I have to face voice distortion. My internet connection is very strong, I do not know why I have [...] face distortion.
  • In addition, sometimes the connection break up [causes] trouble in connecting with my team members and it takes [a] good amount of time. Also, Zoom limits you about the credit hour of your meeting sessions.

Zoom has among the best performance of any video conference platform, as I've mentioned several times. Besides that, their Chat platform works great, and their back end always runs smooth. It's unfortunate that reporting can now only be done by one month at a time, but nonetheless, it only takes a second to run any kind of Zoom report, whether it's an attendee report, Poll results, a user report, a list of meetings from the past month, etc.

I was mostly involved in the implementation process and syncing ClearSlide with Salesforce, and I would say the support was mostly average. It took a few times to get everything scheduled, and a lot of the process was left up to me. I was reading through the documents that they supplied. It wasn't complicated, but more direct support would have been appreciated.

As I've written before, Zoom makes us feel like we matter and that we're a client rather than a customer. They want us to succeed and they put in the time to make sure that we do. I feel like they're more of a business partner rather than simply a vendor or supplier. They spent a lot of time onboarding with us, giving us demos, helping us get set up, and then giving us follow-up to be sure it's going well.

ClearSlide stacks up to be as good as any of the aforementioned tools. We selected Clearslide because of its ease of use and implementation. It did not take our team too long to get acclimated with how ClearSlide works and how they would be using it, allowing them to generate more meetings and more revenue.

Used Skype until 2018 or so when it appeared they dropped features like screen share, critical to my business. So I asked my techie friends what to use, and all pointed to Zoom. I switched and have not looked back. Then March 2020 happened and *everyone* was suddenly on Zoom.

Because the Basic licenses are completely free, and because it's very easy to configure and install Zoom, and because anyone can join Zoom from a link without needing an account, scaling is a Breeze. There are absolutely no roadblocks. My company keeps adding more Zoom Pro license every week since it's so in demand. We were able to convert users from several different platforms onto Zoom with no trouble at all.

  • Zoom has really helped our travel costs! Zoom's technology has made it possible for us to have a wonderful uninterrupted high-quality experience. With such a high standard met for video conferencing, the need for meeting in person or traveling for meetings has shrunk significantly, which has also helped shrink our carbon footprint.
  • Zoom has helped us significantly increase our productivity. Most of our information users weren't using our previous tech because the experience just wasn't there. With Zoom, they feel more confident in the video tech, and that has increased engagement during meetings ten-fold.
