GoTo Webinar

Well suited for training presentations to larger groups where only the speaker(s) would be speaking and sharing a screen with the audience muted and not sharing their screens. Not suited for meetings where everyone needs to talk and possibly share their screens. That would be better suited for GoTo Meeting.

ClickMeeting

  • Professional Live Interface - One of the reasons we chose ClickMeeting was how professional it looked from the viewer's experience. Our client is very small, but the interface makes them look like a top-notch firm to viewers.
  • Customization - Our client didn't have to forego their brand for a service, they were able to make it work for them. Also ties in with my point above.
  • Easy Event Creation - Takes no time at all to plan/schedule an event or meeting.

  • The webinar use case is covered extensively with features that covers the entire lifecycle: registation generation, nurturing registrants, live session, attendee management, session experience, follow ups and insights
  • Webinar Analytics is near instant and exhaustive- date/ time stamps and every user behaviour is tracked

Cons

ClickMeeting

  • As with most new software, ClickMeeting did create a learning curve for many of the employees - thus training was necessary.
  • Our company is contracted by the Federal Government, thus a lot of our information needs to be kept private. Some of our high-level management have noticed that ClickMeeting only provides 128-bit AES encryption, which we feel can be improved upon.
  • Some of our remote users have found that ClickMeeting has some lag-time when using it on their android devices.

  • Price value, we are also looking at other options and some other providers have a better price value.
  • Ability to broadcast our events on Facebook and youtube simultaneously which is present in Zoom.

Our largest issue with GoTo have been the limitations on recording and using recordings to host a webinar, and the biggest of those is the ability to record. We have had most of our webinars recorded successfully, but when it failed to save, it failed in a big way. Their customer service team was there to help, but they were unable to truly fix the problem.There are, of course, other providers, but as we are still seeing where hosted webinars fit in our marketing strategy, cost is an important factor. Since our company already uses GoToMeeting, it makes more sense for us to stay with the entire suite of products, especially while we are testing the strategy as a whole.

Because the most needed functions are very effective and easy to use, there are some minor functions that might work better. The big problem is the quality of presentations because it is often lost during sharing it via ClickMeeting when they are settled in CM's memory. The minor problem is the fact that messages coming from the ClickMeeting are looking a bit like spam.

We use it to hold conversations with a large number of clients, it is a very effective system and does not require prior knowledge, it is used by all departments and has been widely accepted by the entire work team, to be able to communicate we just have to have a telephone or computer and we connect immediately, also the communications are not distorted, the audio and video are always fine. We love being able to have this software, because we can get more clients.

Support on technical features is overall good. Sales support is fast when it comes to upgrades or new customers, but once you are a customer, [I believe] the support is bad to non-existent. [In my experience] after-sales support is really below standard.

ClickMeeting is a wonderful tool with all the necessary features essential to make a business meeting interactive and all this in highly reasonable pricing. But the case was the opposite for Bluejeans as I haven't found it effective because of low-quality audio and video and the price was also not favorable for us.

Compared to other big-name video conferencing software, GoTo Webinar stands out as it serves to cater to large events whereas the competition can not. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Skype, for example, have all garnered much attention due to the need for virtual meetings but none accomplish the task of facilitating large events as seamlessly as GoTo Webinar. Unlike the competition, GoTo Webinar maintains stable connection and meeting integrity, allowing users to focus on the experience at hand.

  • Efficiency: We are learning as a training industry that many of the traditional classroom models are no longer necessary. Allowing our students to learn from the comfort of their office or home reduces transportation time and cost. In many cases, it even reduces travel-related expenses.
  • Trainer efficiency: Being able to train remotely has increased the number of classes we are able to offer in a day. With trainers being able to reach a nationwide audience, travel time and traditional scheduling no longer apply.
  • Training Tools: There are so many tools in this package that are directly related to audience engagement. This allows trainers to conduct skill checks, engage with their audience, and break up traditional lectures. All of these things improve student satisfaction and retention in the long run.
