I think passkey is a great tool and find the majority of its functions and options super helpful! I really enjoy being able to make changes and updates to my rooming list without having to contact the vendor every single time. For most use cases, it generally fits the bill.

Revinate

Revinate is a great platform for smaller-sized hotels who do not need the advanced functionalities of a larger ESP like Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You do not need coding experience, but if you would like to custom-code your emails you can do so. The automation features leave room for improvement as does its reporting features

  • The audience segmentation is excellent. I use this the most since I create targeted, segmented campaigns.
  • Ease of use if you have experience with other email platforms.
  • Analytics reporting.

  • The support center for administrators (GroupMax) and the dashboard could be better. Good for beginnings, but there is a lack of detail for more advanced users.
  • The process of building a booking site could be easier/more streamlined. We sometimes have to hunt around to find where to edit information.

  • Streamline how we answer reviews further. I feel like we should not have to log into Revinate and log into third party sites to answer reviews. Revinate would have partnerships with these third parties to streamline the review answering process.
  • I also don't like how Revinate will not give direct access to Wyndham franchise users. We have to log into a MyPortal account and then into Revinate using the MyPortal link. It would be more efficient to have direct access and capabilities.
  • Make your report creation area user-friendly. You don't offer much training or help assistance in learning to create reports.

I have not had any issues with Passkey where I needed help from the support team. The Cvent Community has been a great spot to ask questions regarding Passkey and get the answers that I needed. I think that Cvent Community has hundreds of people that have had years of experience using these different products and when I have questions, they have usually been asked in the past.

We haven't used any other options. We used to manage everything manually, which sucked up hundreds of hours of our employee's time and cause frustrations among some of our high profile clients who wanted to make their bookings or manage their trip on their own off-hours time instead of having to reach our employees during booking hours. They are then also able to edit their reservation and receive confirmation numbers without having to go through us. With all of the GDPR issues occurring, it's also solving a lot of trouble of collecting information and properly managing it.

Revinate is perfect for our small-to-medium sized hotel clients who do not need a more advanced ESP. If you have a larger client that needs more advanced features, I would suggest using Salesforce. If you require more in-depth reporting and automation features for a small to mid sized client, Mailchimp is also a great choice. I do not recommend TravelClick for any clients.

  • Our ROI with Revinate has helped us take back some of our OTA revenue, and for the first time ever, our brand.com revenue outpaced our OTA revenue, due to our email campaigns. We are a small indie hotel and this is crucial for us.
