Field Service (formerly known as Field Service Lightning) is a customizable, mobile-friendly field service hub in Salesforce. It provides tools to manage work orders, scheduling, and a mobile workforce.
We use this in tandem with e-automate, however e-automate does tend to have more surface-level features which can be easy to use at a moment's notice, unlike GMS which often takes a lot of time and can have a more unintuitive login process while not being considerably more …
I actually liked Microsoft 365 better than e-automate. The "flaws" that I identified in e-Automate did not exist in Microsoft 365. I did not select e-Automate - the software was selected several years before I started here. E-Automate does a few things better than Microsoft …
I'm not sure I wasn't in this company with the previous software that was used. But I'm sure that the old software didn't hold up because they were shopping elsewhere, and that is why they chose e-automate. I have used other programs in the past at previous places, and this one …
We looked at other vendors before we chose to go with this E-Auto. Even though we were on an older version of an ECI product. The ease of the transition into this product will depend on your staff and the knowledge of how to complete a conversion, the ease of use compared to …
E-automate is much better at understanding the needs of the office equipment industry and provide the necessary tools. SAP Business One has limited features specific to the office equipment industry and includes things that are not useful. E-automate is also priced much better …
I have used many different ERP programs over the years. It's hard to compare e-automate to other programs because a lot is dependent on the client (size, needs, etc.). I would probably put e-automate in the lower tier when stacked up against some of the other solutions. I think …
I liked that DDMS allowed you to create anything and everything, freedom to make what you want. But e-automate saves a lot of time in comparison. And if you learn e-automate well enough i think you can also make your own things there as well, such as the rules you can make and …
E-Automate has an easier integration solution. The user interface is simple and straightforward as compared to NetSuite. And the operating costs are lower with E-Automate.
D3m allows for granular detail with diagrams, pictures, plans and layouts. The template for sales quotes in D3M are very helpful to save time. D3M is easy to manage and use. Ideal for smaller organizations and teams. D3m will allow for customization with company logo, phone …
There is definitely no comparison between the two products, E-Automate is a complete solution, where Quickbooks only touches upon a few areas. We often say when someone asks.. E-Automate is 10 different programs rolled into one.
IT Glue is a good product for tracking inventory and configurations. We use it for our MSP as well as the print side of the business. It is best to use IT Glue in conjunction with e-automate since they can compliment each other. Keep all your printer configs in ITG along with …
We use them in conjunction with each other as there are things that each can do that the other cannot. They piggy back off of each other very nicely and make work very efficient for us. We greatly enjoy that both work well together and independently of each other for our needs.
Salesforce CMS is way better with both optimization and reporting both of which Sonar Scheduling lacked. Our ability to skill technician or prioritize was lacking with Sonar. The API was very delayed with Sonar so changes on the Gantt had a delay that would throw off other team …
I have added a few of the many Salesforce products we use. We also use HubSpot but they all have different functions so not really comparable as they are used for different things/ teams.
Salesforce Field Service works better for our specific use case of smaller, residential projects. Procore seems better suited for larger scale construction projects.
We selected the Salesforce Field Service Lightning because we are already using Salesforce as a CRM and Salesforce Field Service Lightning is best suited to it so that's why we picked it We also have seen some reviews and Field Service is far better than others and its service …
We evaluated some other field service software options but have not directly used any competitors. We selected Field Service because it integrates seamlessly with our existing Salesforce org, and has a more robust feature set than the competition. No regrets with selecting this …
I know of IFS but I do not think it is a worthy or close competitor to Salesforce Field Service lightning as its not that user friendly yet with a complicated interface. Also it does not have the name and respect and brand value that Salesforce commands in the market thereby …
ClickSoftware has been the leader in the Garner Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management for 4 years. This designation by Gartner has identified ClickSoftware's product and service as both innovative and most able to execute. ClickSoftware have brought new technologies to …
I only recall reviewing the Oracle Scheduler a few years ago, and it was not as robust or user friendly on the GUI as ClickSchedule was. We have reviewed no other such solutions that I am aware of, we are a long time user of the ClickSoftware line of products especially …
If you need a system to place and track sales quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, and service calls then E-Automate is perfect. However, if you want to be able to easily bulk upload customers and contracts or if you want to be able to quickly and easily track contract profitability, customer costs, etc, then you'll likely want/need a secondary or different system to do so.
We've demoed quite a few models, different companies. I know Salesforce has huge backing, but even so they're open to customization and solutions. Some of the competition, keep in mind for my industry, there's not a lot of options out there. We're not your typical Salesforce target market. I mean we're not really selling a lot. I mean, quite honestly, I don't even have a sales department because can't do all of the work that my current customers need me to do. So I don't need to go drum up new business. I just needed it for more of tracking and a work management solution. And in the construction, specifically utility construction, industry, there's not a lot of options, but it definitely was the best option for us.
Billing, E-Auto has more accounting pros than our old system if you know how to set up your contracts it can perform efficiently. It's more of an accounting system.
Our financials on our old system were more manual. With this system, you have E-Views to help with reporting and your worksheets.
E-Views to help with reporting and your worksheets.
Make sales invoices not require serial numbers, or be more flexible with it.
Make contract invoices have some sort of flexibility in terms of editing. Our end users complain that QuickBooks made it very easy to edit invoices, and in e-automate, for them, it is practically impossible. (I do personally understand why it has to be as it is myself, I'm just forwarding their observation.)
Make the API actually useful. I spent days looking at the functions and the functions available are not really useful.
- The system is easy to use and very intuitive. New employees are able to easily step right into the application and start using it on day one. - There are no issues with machines not getting patched since the system does it automatically. If a reboot is needed, all of that happens at night when clients are not working.
As of right now there is not a alternative that seems to offer all of the functionality with a vision of what is needed in the future. It is my belief that ClickSoftware will remain a leader in Mobile Workforce Management for a long time.
The user interface may be slightly outdated, but it is very intuitive and easy to navigate. Once you have learned one module within the system it is very easy to apply that knowledge to any other module. It makes using the system much easier, and it makes training another person on the system quick and efficient.
Within a week a scheduler can confidently navigate the program and from there they learn more niche tools but from the beginning they can hit the ground running. With different user views available the developers can narrow down what is needed based on your job role which has been invaluable.
Reports are the struggle the most with the information being extracted in a way that you need to copy and paste it into a new document so some of the information is not covered
Sometimes when you need answers quickly, a voice on the phone is far better than having to wait for email support or a callback. I have found this to have delays and feel ECI e-automate should invest more in its support infrastructure.
Having a program that gives sales leaders a real time view was game changing. Time was always an issue because there wasn't always a sales leader available for closing sales. This has allowed for any sales leader to jump in and help make the sale without the need to do a warm transfer.
Overall the training was quite informative but did lack detail in some areas. It had all of the necessary content for an experience product user but didn't offer enough information for a new user to complete the training and then feel comfortable in real-world situations running or managing the software. I would recommend this course for anyone with at least 1 year of full-time exposure to the ClickSchedule product.
I actually liked Microsoft 365 better than e-automate. The "flaws" that I identified in e-Automate did not exist in Microsoft 365. I did not select e-Automate - the software was selected several years before I started here. E-Automate does a few things better than Microsoft Dynamics - Bank Account Reconciliations and Sales Tax reporting are 2 that stand out.
Salesforce CMS is way better with both optimization and reporting both of which Sonar Scheduling lacked. Our ability to skill technician or prioritize was lacking with Sonar. The API was very delayed with Sonar so changes on the Gantt had a delay that would throw off other team members. Sonar was cheaper but Salesforce CMS is way more capable.
