emfluence Marketing Platform vs. Revinate

The reporting feature is not as detailed as we require for our documentation, so we have to organize the results into charts and graphs. For every other component of our social media and digital marketing, emfluence checks all of the boxes.

Revinate is a great platform for smaller-sized hotels who do not need the advanced functionalities of a larger ESP like Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You do not need coding experience, but if you would like to custom-code your emails you can do so. The automation features leave room for improvement as does its reporting features

• The audience segmentation is excellent. I use this the most since I create targeted, segmented campaigns.
• Ease of use if you have experience with other email platforms.

• I do have issues sometimes when making a website popup. I specify certain measurements of my popup yet when it shows up on my website, the graphic doesn't adjust and I have a bunch of white space. But that could also be my website.
• When adding a new contact into the contact section, once you hit save, the contact information stays on the screen instead of an empty contact profile so you can immediately add the next person.
• Sometimes when I update a template, The unsubscribe link will link to my email address instead of the person the email is being sent to.

• Streamline how we answer reviews further. I feel like we should not have to log into Revinate and log into third party sites to answer reviews. Revinate would have partnerships with these third parties to streamline the review answering process.
• I also don't like how Revinate will not give direct access to Wyndham franchise users. We have to log into a MyPortal account and then into Revinate using the MyPortal link. It would be more efficient to have direct access and capabilities.
• Make your report creation area user-friendly. You don't offer much training or help assistance in learning to create reports.

They were the only company that could solve our specific problems. When we looked at larger companies like Constant Contact, they weren't as capable at handling our specific needs for a reasonable price. Some companies need to charge us programming hours. Bigger companies couldn't help our issue. emfluence is more flexible.

Revinate is perfect for our small-to-medium sized hotel clients who do not need a more advanced ESP. If you have a larger client that needs more advanced features, I would suggest using Salesforce. If you require more in-depth reporting and automation features for a small to mid sized client, Mailchimp is also a great choice. I do not recommend TravelClick for any clients.

• It's allowed for us to generate more traffic to our client's websites.
• It's allowed for us to generate more leads from email marketing through emfluence.
• Visual click maps, more customized dashboard and email templates, and a deeper dive in data would help further business objectives.

• Our ROI with Revinate has helped us take back some of our OTA revenue, and for the first time ever, our brand.com revenue outpaced our OTA revenue, due to our email campaigns. We are a small indie hotel and this is crucial for us.
