Likelihood to Recommend Multiple incognito windows are easily and effortlessly generated at will. This browser easily handles 30 tabs without a huge resource drain. Generally all banking and testing sties are compatible with Google Chrome now, so near 100% compatibility with all locations on the web. Like Franks Hot Sauce, I use Google Chrome on everything!
Read full review I use it every day, and it is so lovely to have a clear desktop and only have one app running with everything I need. For example, when I am creating YouTube content, I need to be able to check analytical data on my YouTube channel, then open up Canva and create additional differences to the thumbnails that Land is making for the following video. I also need to be able to open Google Sheets to update my team and keep track of everything on
Trello so we know what project we are currently working on our project. Workflow for content creation is spread across
Trello Canva, WhatsApp, and Google Sheets, so to have all of these simultaneously open, I can switch between them all within shift is absolutely a godsend. Also, the fact that it integrates with Microsoft To-Do is beneficial as this is how we keep track of all completed tasks that we, as a team, create.
Read full review Pros Incognito mode is really just that. Fast Updates and fast browsing performance. Stability. Very granular filtering options. Multitude of extensions are available. Read full review Shift provides a seamless, single interface that brings together all of my email accounts and productivity tools (both Google Workspace and 3rd parties) It allows me to install, login and access the same emails and tools from ANY desktop in the world, securely, and without leaving a footprint of my User information or online working sessions. The browser-based UX/UI design of Shift makes it intuitive and fast (especially with recent memory handling improvements). Read full review Cons I would like to see Google Chrome over a free extension to run legacy Internet Explorer windows for older webservers, specifically associated with security cameras. I really can't think of anything else - it is that good. Read full review Some apps don’t work as well as they would on a regular plugin for a browser Web browser is nice, but Chrome is a bit more user friendly Sometimes things load strange and take over a work space (some forms or PDFs) Read full review Likelihood to Renew I'm quite happy with this product, been using it in a daily basis for the last 3 years.
Read full review Support Rating It is simple and has exactly what I need. If they worked out a few minor bugs, I think it would be perfect.
Read full review Alternatives Considered Firefox has a clunky update mechanism. Although Firefox was pretty quick, I did not care for the look of it. Opera was not as compatible nor as fast as Google Chrome. Tor is slow but is used only for private browsing as needed.
Read full review I wouldn't say I liked the user experience and the difficulty in configuration. I generally like to keep my UX and UI as consistent as possible, and Shift does that. Moreover, I wanted to save all my Gmail labels and have their catalog precisely as on the Gmail website.
Thunderbird for Mac is a bit tacky.
