Hemmingway. This is what I used before starting with Grammarly. The user interface might not be that great, but the best part is, it is free and even the premium version is way cheaper than Grammarly. You can also choose to turn off real-time suggestions and corrections. It can …
I have not used anything like Grammarly before and that is probably why I love it so much. It works very well for what I need. Plus, it goes above and beyond. I don't need it all the time but it is great to use in any communication occasion. I love it
The only comparison that Grammarly has is the built-in spell checks used on the Microsoft and Google products suite. However, I find that Grammarly is more effective and offers more, such as the tone check, which is available for users on their free tier. There are even more …
I have not used any other program like Grammarly. I didn't even know similar programs existed. I've used spellcheck within Microsoft office, but Grammarly I find is better at understanding context than Microsoft spell check is.
Other than Grammarly, I have also used tools like Hemingway and ProWritingAid. But Grammalry has the best AI, which becomes obvious when you compare the suggestions each of these tools makes. Also, the style guide feature, support for multiple languages, and all kinds of …
I do not know what program was used for spell check before I installed Grammarly, but the old program was nowhere near as thorough as Grammarly. Grammarly catches more errors, offers the correct word that is misspelled more often, is easier and faster to use. Offers grammar …
Grammarly stands above the rest because: 1. It works with my MS Windows apps (MS Word, Outlook) and all my browsers (Chrome, Edge & Firefox). 2. It works with my IOS iPhone apps (MS Word, Outlook) and all my browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge).
Grammarly is a step ahead of the traditional spelling and grammar checking tool that is in-built with Microsoft Word. There are scenarios when you have to write long-form content, and depending on your normal day-to-day way of speech, you tend to write content using the same tone and sentence constructs. There may be nothing "wrong" as such, but Grammarly points out those small glitches in your text, which you considered to be correct but is not really correct. One such area is the usage of "passive voice" in the sentences that I used to write. I find Grammarly really helpful here.
I usually recommend Microsoft 365 to my clients to keep them away from the Exchange server (sorry!) Our business has a lot of issues with exchange email functions and copy machines. I always recommend they download the desktop version and use the online version as needed. You never know when you will be without an internet connection, but you can usually trust your laptop will have a decent charge, and you can still be productive! Let it sync when the powers are back on - or your connection is alive.
Integration with existing tools - Grammarly works in practically all text areas across your browser, including email and things like Google Docs, etc.
Quality control - the meat of Grammarly is checking your text and writing in real-time, directly as you type. Most of the time, Grammarly provides very accurate recommendations and quality checks on your text.
Analytics and reporting - Grammarly sends regular updates via email about your usage statistics and other detailed info. This type of reporting can be very helpful in tracking your progress over time.
keeps me extremely organized. It is so easy to link calendars, emails, and documents.
keeps me well connected. It is so easy to send a quick message on teams or send an email to a group (for example, my particular team within the company).
easy to use. Everything is straightforward, making it easy to find an answer to a question. There is even a search option to figure out how to do something within Microsoft.
Microsoft 365 really needs to work on protection part. In complex environment it is not reliable as compared to its competitors like Proofpoint. There are many instances where it fails to perform effectively.
In SharePoint Online the versioning feature of the document needs to be improved by Microsoft. Sometimes when we have to roll back to the previous version it does not work as expected.
In Teams messaging and app permission policies can be improved. There are some settings where we have to add a lot of things manually.
It's great software to use but has much to be desired. Because I'm used to using Microsoft Word and Google Docs, using Grammarly for sentence structure can be challenging. The suggestions that appear help with grammatical corrections, but it doesn't fix line breaks. I think something like that would help streamline sentence structure.
While Microsoft 365 is an amazing toolset, its still a Microsoft product. Sadly, I think the quality control regarding updates has dropped a lot the last few years. Also, I think things like the new Outlook are no improvement. In my opinion, so many features are missing. Still they proceed to push this. Microsoft knows their suite is one of the only of its kind broadly used and because of that, in my opinion, they can pull whatever they want on the users and do that without issue.
I have not really used customer support. I used the FAQ page to see how to re-install Grammarly because it wasn't functioning properly in longer documents. It seems to be working better now, but it still does not always underline all of the issues in the actual text. Thus, it is sometimes difficult to know where the errors are located.
Over the past 8 years of using Microsoft 365, I have noticed that they change vendors often. This always leads to a poor experience in the beginning, then levels out after some time for the company to get things worked out. As a customer, it is really frustrating because I don't have time when something isn't working to have them "look into my issue" and get back with me. They have even closed a ticket I specifically told them to keep open. Your applications are only as good as the support.

Its very user-friendly, collaborative and efficient that boosts productivity using cloud tools. their security is strong and it provides data protection. There are regular updates that shields us from attackers too. It offers a wealth of learning resources, including tutorials, help articles and video guide to help users make the most of the application and personally upgrade their skills.
Positively, it has increased productivity and efficiency in creating templates and being able to systemize some of the protocols we are working on putting into place.
It has been a positive as well as most individuals and companies that we associate with also use MicroSoft 365 and therefore there is no need to have formats change in our documents when they open them up using another type of program.
