Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365

Great for global companies to collaborate with. We use Teams for internal meetings, Outlook for every email, Word docs for drafting marketing briefs, Excel for hundreds of planning topics, Powerpoint for every single pitch deck, and OneNote for occasional personal notes. The mobile apps are very intuitive and great for business leaders on the go who need a fast way to respond to their messages. CoPilot is also embedded into every tool which makes it easy to summarize or re-write messages.

Pros

  • Global Collaboration
  • Teams Web Meeting Platform and chat
  • Easy to review/comment/share in any platform
  • Custom Chats and Teams Channels for better segmentation of the chats
  • AI Copilot summarizing and acting as your assistant

Cons

  • Slack is 1000x better than teams. Why put a 250 limit on a chat? Our company hasn't moved fully to channels and it's making us lose transparency. Plus, the teams channels we do have nobody is going to. 90% loss in visibility and engagement.
  • Teams for web meetings. I think the UI/UX should match Zoom which is the standard for all our customers. They don't like it when we use Teams.
  • Chats and Channels need to somehow be on one screen automatically without having to choose that view because majority of our company hasn't opened Teams Channels and only stays in chats.
  • 1600+ users have adopted Microsoft 365 in our company. We even created enablement sharepoint pages for every department and for new hires to go to as the source of truth or see what ERGs to join.
  • Huge time saved with the meeting scheduling assistant especially when trying to book time with busy leaders.
  • Copilots meeting summaries and email summaries are amazing. We can even use your own AI within Teams and ask it questions about our customer accounts, HR questions, etc. right within the Teams platform.
Had to deduct one point because Slack truly is supreme here but Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel and everything else are powerful tools enterprise companies use. I think Copilot seems like a small fish compared to Gemini so if Copilot can step up and do more that just rewrite, answer questions and summarize emails, then it could be a game changer. (automate workflows with copilot or something big)
Typically I prefer working with companies with Microsoft 365 as their main tool because they're usually a fast growing company with a global presence. I like using it for work because it's easy to collaborate, share, review, comment, reply in any of the tools. The mobile app for Outlook and Teams are lifesavers when we're constantly traveling and you can join meetings on the mobile Teams to never miss a beat.

Do you think Microsoft 365 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft 365's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft 365 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft 365 go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Microsoft 365 again?

Yes

Microsoft 365 is amazing for any company. For example, when I joined a startup we only had 56 people in our US office at the time. We eventually grew to 500+ employees and Microsoft was our platform to help us do that. We loved using Slack over Teams so when I joined my second company with 1500+ employees a lot of people were not happy with Teams chats/channels. Slack will always be the elite in that area based on ease of use/UI/better UX. We also have a Slack community for customers so you can see the tradeoffs. Google is doing some amazing things with Gemini especially with AI in emails so I'd pay attention to that.
