Likelihood to Recommend Well suited for searching the database for qualified resources, not well suited for those posting jobs. That is especially true if the job posted has a broader appeal, or applies to many job seekers, since it will attract hundreds that you will not have time to review. We have found that 1 in 20 are even qualified and have the basic requirements for what we post
Read full review Using indeed for ongoing job needs is great as the job ad will be there for an extended period of time. The use of Indeed for a quick need-to-hire tomorrow situation has been tough. I have found that it may take a few days to gather good applications.
Read full review Pros The best free job advertising platform out there that is easy to use and integrates with our ATS Greenhouse ATS (Greenhouse) automatically posts every job to Indeed and requires zero effort Formatting of the the jobs from my ATS look good when "pulled" over to Indeed Able to integrate questions with rules that allow you to shortlist candidates in a more timely fashion Sponsoring portal has change a couple times. I do not love the new format as of 5/2021 but it is not bad. They allow you to use a credit card for sponsoring which linkedin will not Sponsoring criteria is good and has many options Read full review Immediate response, that's what I need. I post the job, there is no waiting one day or two hours to respond to the candidates. Gives me better visibility, better ability to choose different candidates, I've tried sponsored jobs with deal-breakers and non-deal-breakers. Sometimes is best not to have a deal-breaker for certain jobs because I might pass on a candidate I wouldn't have thought to maybe take a look at. I've also used the instant match, I'm starting to get better at qualifying those candidates and I had a few applicants from that. Read full review Cons Indeed.com tends to have a lot of fake listings or listings which overstate a role and that drives some users away from using the service. Indeed.com's aesthetics are a bit dated so although the web sites functions are mature they also are a bit bland....if that matters to someone. They seem to try and push the sponsor (cost to you) job lists a bit strong. Read full review The biggest area for improvement that I see is the automatic job collapsing for posts that are coming from the same company, same title but different locations. A lot of our locations are hiring hourly team members and are within 10-15 miles of each other. This issue significantly reduces the number of applicants that we see and makes our lives as recruiters more difficult when we need to try and manage 75 locations across both concepts that are potentially hiring for 2-3 positions at a time. Read full review Likelihood to Renew I use Indeed Sponsored Jobs pretty much on a daily basis. As a recruiter this would be the first thing, I renew to help me succeed in my role as a staff recruiter.
Read full review Usability The average person would be able to login into Indeed and use it almost immediately with no training or guidance. The layout is modern like an iPhone app and one can easily navigate through the features that it offers.
Read full review They continue to improve their platform. Although sometimes adding more functions can decrease usability, Indeed is very good at adding definitions and information in a very user-friendly way. You are truly able to customize your service and job ads in a way that benefits you and your company. You also have complete control over your ad and your budget
Read full review Support Rating I haven't had to use Customer Service much for Indeed.com but the few times I've had encounters they have been very nice and helpful. They ensure you are getting the most out of your money with the resources Indeed has to offer. You can speak to customer service over the phone or on a quick messenger setting on the website depending on what your style is or how easy you feel your question is.
Read full review Our Indeed support team far exceeds the support I've received from any other recruitment platform. We have a dedicated account executive AND a client support specialist, both of whom go out of their way to assist with everything from making our job ads more effective to make the billing process more transparent. They are a rock star team that truly takes the stress out of recruiting!
Read full review Implementation Rating While I was not there at this company, since I joined we have had to revise some things. They have been great!
Read full review Alternatives Considered We used and are still currently using other job boards. Some are free of charge, some are paid services. We do not want to stop using Indeed.com since it provides up with ability to post job postings for free. This is really appreciated. We do not want to disclose names of other services.
Read full review Handshake is mainly for the college-age group. We have listed some of our jobs on here before, but never had a good turnout of applicants. We tried
ZipRecruiter , but it was easier to manage all of our jobs if they were listed on one site. We would also sometimes have people apply on both our
ZipRecruiter listing and our Indeed listing.
Read full review Return on Investment Higher turnover in general for the positions we have hired for from Indeed which in some instances can hinder productivity. It is important to know that when using Indeed, you are getting volume/quantity and not necessarily top-performing employees. It seems like the employees found on Indeed are constantly job hunting even when currently employed. For our large-scale hiring, Indeed, all in all has had a positive impact as we are always able to fill the positions due to the large pool of resumes always on hand. Read full review Applicant quality varies depending on the position, sometimes we get really good ones and bad ones so it's positive and negative at times. Positive impact with being cost effective. I don't feel we pay too much for what we need, but it's not "cheap" by any means either. Read full review ScreenShots Indeed Ads (Sponsored Jobs) Screenshots
