For me, the best kind of services are the ones that you forget about because they work so well in the background. This is what Kixie does so well once it's installed; it's unobtrusive, simple, and does what it is supposed to do in the background. My sales staff no longer has to worry about tracking and logging their outbound or inbound calls because Kixie is installed on their phones and computers.

Rakuten Viber

It's perfect for messaging and group messaging, especially when users in group are from different places, organizations... (unlike Slack where you have to be member of same organization to be in same group). The video calls are the weak point of the app, so Viber is not good for conference calls, video calls and especially for group video conference calls.

  • Kixie integrates seamlessly with our CRM (Zoho), meaning it updates call notes directly on the customer's CRM profile.
  • The one-click dialing feature directly through our CRM is a great feature. It's so simple; just search for a name, one-click, and you are on the phone.
  • The local presence feature is a nice touch for cold calls. It provides a local area code when cold calling to increase the likelihood of an answer to the call.

  • You can have high quality video and audio meetings with more than 1 person.
  • You can upload any type of file in Viber (video, audio, text, GIFs, PDF files).

  • There is a big price difference between Kixie's limited minutes and unlimited minutes calling plans. I was expecting a price increase for unlimited minutes, but I didn't expect it to be that large of an increase (almost double the price).
  • The minutes for the limited calling plan is set at 300 minutes a month. For my organization that makes a lot of calls, this is a very low amount, which forces us to upgrade to the unlimited calling plan.
  • It's easy to get started with Kixie by signing up for their free trial. However, the pricing that was advertised during the free trial period turned out to be quite different for my organization when it was actually time to purchase the service after the trial period was over.

Rakuten Viber

  • As far as I can tell, Viber lacks the feature to block specific callers/numbers. I've never needed to do this, but I'd like to know I have the option.
  • Viber cannot be used without wifi, so it is not possible to connect with contacts who aren't also using Viber. (Unless you want to use the paid service.)
  • This isn't a major complaint, but I find the layout of Viber to be a little cluttered. Comparing it to WhatsApp, I don't find it to be quite as user-friendly, and I sometimes stumble around to find my way to a contact to call.

I have not frequently used the support for Viber as I have not had many problems with it on my phone. I did use support one time for problems with the computer application and used the forums to solve my problems. They were fairly easy to follow and I appreciated the online help in that format.

Kixie integrated much better with our CRM (Zoho) than CrazyCall. In addition, Kixie had increased reporting features that CrazyCall did not offer--CrazyCall's reporting was limited and not detailed enough for our purposes. Lastly, at the time, CrazyCall did not have the inbound call services that Kixie offered. In fact, CrazyCall did not have any inbound services when we were using the software.

Rakuten Viber

Skype's user interface is really glitchy and doesn't provide same functionality in terms of fun elements - emojis or gifs. Slack is excellent communication tool but as well doesn't provide fun elements as Viber does(emojis, memes, gifs and more). I should also mention that quoting in Slack is not really easy and intuitive.

  • Kixie has made our sales team more productive by freeing up their time for more calls and customer engagement.
  • My sales team has also become more organized by using Kixie. We are able to be more systematic and strategic with when we are calling and the frequency of our calls. This has improved our success ratio in getting leads into our pipeline.
  • The reporting features on Kixie has allowed my organization to better identify members of my sales staff that are having call success and reward them for their efforts.

  • Communication across department is much easier and faster.
  • It is now easier to reach staff that are on an overseas business trip, even if that one is on the go (ex: in the car, at the airport).
  • Most of our customers use Viber, therefore, it is not only convenient to reach people inside the company, it is also used for external communication as well.
