Considered Both Products
StackAdapt
Chose StackAdapt
With Google Ads you are able to set your budget and work within it. However, it is pay per click so the price does increase substantially. StackAdapt seems more budget friendly.
Chose StackAdapt
StackAdapt has an easier self-serve platform than JamLoop, where you can also buy programmatic CTV and display banners. Though they lack audio placements, which is another cross-channel tactic in StackAdapt to reach the same audience with multiple formats. Comparable CPM rates …
Chose StackAdapt
I chose to continue with StackAdapt mainly because of the improvements it has made in the last few years.

Constant improvements and frequent feature releases created a sense of trust in building my business along with StackAdapt.
Chose StackAdapt
We have evaluated Criteo because we have many eCommerce clients. But we decided against it because StackAdapt seems to have much better and complete targeting options and ways to optimize campaigns post-launch, whereas Criteo feels more like a "spray & pray" approach. …
Chose StackAdapt
We selected StackAdapt because we thought they would provide us with a greater ROI for our prospecting campaigns and retargeting campaigns. Unfortunately, we had a problem with the prospecting campaigns which was that we had a very huge audience segment to target so it does not …
Chose StackAdapt
StackAdapt is significantly less expensive than the Trade Desk. StackAdapt doesn't have campaign minimums, unlike the Trade Desk, meaning you can experiment with a lower ad spend to gain client confidence before investing at a larger level. Plus they don't lock you into an …
Chose StackAdapt
Even though we find the StackAdapt UI clunky and not intuitive, it's a huge step up from the Basis UI. We previously used Basis and ran all the media ourselves, and there were spend thresholds we had to hit with Basis that often made it a constraining platform to use. …
Chose StackAdapt
The reason why we chose StackAdapt is their pricing and easy dashboards.
Chose StackAdapt
Much better in terms of audience definition and campaign control. We found AdRoll to be relatively easy to use, but light in terms of campaign parameters, whereas StackAdapt is also easy to use but allows us to be completely in the driver's seat.
Chose StackAdapt
StackAdapt has better pricing, customer support, and results.
Chose StackAdapt
I couldn't find Teads in the dropdown, but that's what I'd most compare StackAdapt too. Both generated strong results for our various clients and campaigns run on the platforms, but overall, I've been far more impressed with StackAdapt. Not only is StackAdapt's dashboard …
Chose StackAdapt
I've worked with the Trade Desk for six years. When it comes to native inventory they've always been my go to.
Chose StackAdapt
Basis is great for display ads. StackAdapt, however, is in a completely different world when it comes to NAtie ADvertising. Typical DSPs like Basis do not come close to comparing.
Chose StackAdapt
In terms of Native advertising, StackAdapt blows Outbrain and Taboola out of the water. The ability to drive impressions is similar between all three, but we have seen a large improvement in the quality of these impressions from StackAdapt. Clicks, engagement, and sales are all …
Chose StackAdapt
StackAdapt's video capabilities perform in-line with what we have seen from Sharethrough, but without any minimums attached to their campaigns. As far as Nativo, their traffic was lower, but the quality of those sessions was better. As far as re-targeting capabilities, we have …
Chose StackAdapt
StackAdapt has better support, better integration, is easier to work with, and listens to customers. Other platforms serve up a take-it-or-leave-it attitude to all but the largest customers.
Chose StackAdapt
We've run native campaigns in other platforms and they just don't measure up to the performance we see coming from StackAdapt.
Yahoo Ads
Chose Yahoo Ads
Yahoo Gemini! does stack up well against its competitors in the smaller spending realms. We've never been able to justify the ROI when we try to scale it up to even 10% - 15% of our spend. No, we've found that it's much better as a tangential win than a mainstream channel.
Chose Yahoo Ads
Yahoo has a broader reach than LinkedIn in terms of category of intents. Yahoo also supercedes LinkedIn in terms of impression volume. LinkedIn is also a more expensive acquisition overall.
Chose Yahoo Ads
Google is definitely the mammoth in this space, but it is nice to be able to be on multiple different search engines. People are using all different kinds of SEs to get their information.
It is also nice to push other campaigns straight into Yahoo! and not have as much legwork …
Chose Yahoo Ads
Yahoo is not as used as Google, but it is still a well-known search engine. It is still valuable to use Yahoo! Advertising.
Chose Yahoo Ads
Yahoo Gemini is a more robust version of Outbrain and Taboola. It does offer mobile search, which they do not, and you have more control over your targeting, ad formats, and platform preference. Difficulty of campaign setup is pretty minimal on any Native platform, but Gemini …
Chose Yahoo Ads
In terms of ROI, Bing ~ Gemini > Google. However, Google's massive amounts of traffic nullify ROI returns. In terms of traffic, Google > Bing > Gemini.
Chose Yahoo Ads
I use all four of these platforms if they make sense for the advertising campaign which I am running. Yahoo Gemini has the advantage of having a very low cost per click and cost per impression, so it's especially ideal for an awareness campaign compared to Google, Bing, and …
Chose Yahoo Ads
Gemini is comparable in objective and use to the other SEM platforms. Geminis audience is more limited and therefore should be used to complement other efforts on other platforms. We use Gemini to create a multi platform SEM campaign, to reach the largest possible audience and …
Chose Yahoo Ads
Undoubtedly AdWords ranks higher overall. Yahoo Gemini is a distant second. Bing has been a disappointment but I have not given up on it.
Chose Yahoo Ads
Both Taboola and Yahoo Gemini were used in the organization, but the general client relationship with Taboola was much stronger in the UK and allowed for more constant investment rather than being seen as an 'experimental channel' as Yahoo Gemini was.
Chose Yahoo Ads
Yahoo! Advertising typically offers the third largest pool of audience for search, but offers a much stronger reach of audience in their display networks with a stronger product in Native. We don’t solely just use one product, but nearly 8/10 of recommendations made include …
Chose Yahoo Ads
Overall, Yahoo! Advertising is a much lower traffic option, but also a lower cost option. If you are looking to drive big numbers & results, this platform is behind Google AdWords and Facebook Ads by a big gap.
Chose Yahoo Ads
Yahoo Gemini is very similar to how the Bing Ads platform operates and functions, but I feel like the Yahoo Gemini platform is much more aesthetically pleasing and a little bit easier to manage. The colors and visual appearance of the dashboard seems to be more inviting than …
Chose Yahoo Ads
I have also used Google Adwords Editor - 4 stars and Bing Editor - 2 stars. The fact that it's so easy to edit a bid in Gemini is a big deal. And the toggle switch that changes a keyword or ad group from active to paused is extremely useful and easier to use than the drop down …

As I've alluded to before, Yahoo Gemini! is particularly well-suited for that extra bit of marketing spend and those last few needed leads and MQLs to get you over the hump. We definitely find that the ROI is well worth it, but it's also not the type of channel that we're gonna drop half of our budget on. The scalability is limited to an extent.

Pros
  • Communication: Their reps are incredibly transparent, thorough and detailed. I really, really appreciate that.
  • Creativity: Not only are the reps communicative, they actually bring new, fresh ideas to the table. As busy as we are, I can't thank them enough for that.
  • Easy-to-use: As detailed as the dashboard is, it's actually pretty easy to use and bring new users up-to-speed on.

  • Similar interfaces compared to Bing and Google -- if you've operated one, you can operate any of the three.
  • Proactive Customer Support -- Yahoo was diligent about having contact with us about the platform.
  • Limited but strong ROI -- Gemini spent maybe a 10th of our Bing and Google budgets, but always performed well in terms of ROI.

Cons
  • There has been occasional slopping maintenance of the campaigns, and we have to follow up with questions about spending spikes or significant changes in delivery CPMs.
  • Account rep knowledge can sometimes be lacking. When we question our reps about performance, we sometimes get confusing or nonsensical answers.
  • The reporting UI is definitely clunky and unintuitive.

  • More robust and sophisticated reporting capacity: front end metrics are available with different granularities, but lacking in insight to guide optimization strategy
  • No display/programmatic buying options as yet.
  • Audience targeting could be improved and audience / lookalike modeling could be improved. That said, geotargeting capabilities are very good.

The platform is easy to use and understand whether it is being used as self-serve or a managed service. The audience targeting is solid, and array of placements is versatile. With these, the level of engagement for video content is usually great

Usability
It is very user friendly and if any team members need further help, we are able to easily access their customer service team for hands on assistance with an actual human being, not a robot. Their team has been incredibly kind, understanding and thorough. It is really a great all in one tool for a business who relies greatly on advertising campaigns.

One of my main pain points with yahoo gemini is that the product is very difficult to use and the UI seems like they took a skeleton of a similar product and made it bare bones functional for the purpose of generating ad spend. It is a huge barrier for new customers and I feel one of the main reasons they have new customers at all is all the free trial dollars they offer.

Support Rating
Support has been exceptional. Our dedicated team is always available and ready to answer any questions that may arise. We receive updates from them on a regular basis and they go above and beyond providing assistance when needed. The team is absolutely one of the bright spots in our relationship with StackAdapt

They were always super helpful during training and demoing and would answer any questions we had. We didn't have a direct account manager, which would have been nice, but I just don't think their size accommodates for that type of set up. They are very knowledgeable and help guide you through a set up for each particular client.

Yahoo Gemini is a more robust version of Outbrain and Taboola. It does offer mobile search, which they do not, and you have more control over your targeting, ad formats, and platform preference. Difficulty of campaign setup is pretty minimal on any Native platform, but Gemini does seem to have the least strict approval process, which is nice with both Facebook and Twitter making it difficult to target and run ads for certain products/topics.

Return on Investment
  • For one of our clients, we've generated over 4.3x ROAS this year, which far exceeded our expectations for a programmatic display ad platform.
  • Getting results for our clients with StackAdapt gives us an edge in attracting new clients, which helps us maintain client retention and satisfaction.
