HotGloo enabled us to leverage the analytical findings from our analysis, prototype a new site and test interactions with our users. Based on additional insights we were able to hone in on the problematic areas of UX and prototype solutions we could test immediately to enable us to deploy the right product in a shorter time.
  • Prototyping.
  • Collaboration.
  • Widget library.
  • Billing.
HotGloo is well suited to a dispersed team of users who are looking to collaboratively wireframe and prototype their latest web solutions. It's extremely intuitive and comes with a large widget library meaning the newest user can be up and running very quickly. In browser access means it's extremely accessible whether you're working in a room together or across the country at home.

  • Ease of use.
  • Quicker lead time in testing interactions with latest designs.
  • Shorter build time through use of standard branding.
HotGloo was extremely intuitive to use, particular for users who were not from a UX background. The wide-ranging widget library and elements available meant little domain knowledge was required to get up and running with the product. The product was supported by a great online community and plenty of resources for our users to tap into and upskill themselves with the product.

Being able to export the finished wireframe to HTML was a huge time saver for me and my team. Getting to that next step quickly and seamlessly was a massive help. Not only that, but other tools that do this, we have not as much luck. HotGloo's functionality was a step above the others.

I am in the field of Service Design and Engineering. HotGloo helps me to quickly build wireframes for various customer touchpoints. The tool and its big variety of elements and symbols helps me to quickly build wireframes of mobile apps or websites. It is a real value add that the created designs can be used as preview as well. In this way I only have to design once. This helps because in this stage (prototyping) fast mockups are key. I usually use HotGloo in addition to other tools as well. So, HotGloo covers one stage or task during a design sprint usually. Once the wireframes are iterated and tested sufficiently I continue to detail the interfaces in other tools. I could probably do the wireframing in the other tool as well. But, I stuck to HotGloo because of the elements and symbol libary which has - in my opinion - just the right depth and detail to not distract the tests.
  • Elements Library
  • Symbols Library
  • Interface supports workflow
  • logical structure of interface objects
  • preview view does not scale frame on small screens
  • Tool ribbon
Overall, I am happy with HotGloo. It supports and fits well into my workflow. Here, I use HotGloo mainly during the prototyping scale. More preciously for wireframing. Eventhough, there are other tools - which I also use in subsequent steps - that would support wireframing as well, I like HotGloo and will keep using it during this stage. This is mainly because I think the elements and symbol library has just the right depth and detail for wireframing. It is important in wireframing to not include to much detail yet. Otherwise, testers get distracted by design aspects. Therefore, I like HotGloo and us it for different Product and Service design projects.
  • Wireframing (prep quick user tests)
  • Prototyping (add workflows to wireframes)
  • Viewports (design for different devices)
  • Quicker and Simpler wireframing
  • More efficient preparation of user tests
  • Faster verification of design concepts
  • Faster identification of wrong concepts
  • Faster identification of right concepts
HotGloo is tailored to this use case and therefore considers the right user needs. I think one strength is that it focuses on the main aspect. There are other tools, that have more extensive features. However, those are then more complex and not so well made for the specific work I use it for. Thus, I like HotGloo also because of the element and symbols library. Which has the right depth and detail - no more, no less then needed.
