Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use isolved for pretty much everything from having employees apply to eventually leaving the organization in retirement. This system helps them to complete all of their new hire paperwork electronically, saves that into easily accessible files, complete their benefit paperwork each year, clock in/out on a daily basis, easily manage their paid time off. It is used every single day to help not only the HR team to be more efficient but our employees as well.

Pros

  • Very quick to assist with questions we might have.
  • Their platforms are user friendly and easy to use.
  • Constantly making updates and improvements.

Cons

  • Customization on the new employee paperwork screens would be nice.
  • Admin user over the phone is a little harder to use/access.
  • More customization on the analytics screen.

We use isolved to provide third-party payroll and benefits services to a wide range of temp agencies with wildly different setups and requirements. Some of our clients have a handful of employees, and some have thousands. Sometimes we only manage a company's temps, but we also often handle their managers and executives. And isolved can support all of it.

  • Enrollment Management is poorly optimized and takes forever to load.
  • Some isolved reports function in mysterious ways.
  • Functionality requests can take a long time to be implemented.

Day to day, HR, payroll, managers, and employees all log into the same cloud-based system for tasks like onboarding, time tracking, and accessing pay and benefits information.

We use isolved for all of our Payroll, HCM, Time Keeping, etc clients. We have our hands in just about ever product that isolved offers for atleast one or more clients. Compliance Risk & Errors Automated Compliance: System automatically applies tax rules, labor laws, and benefits regulations across payroll and time. Minimizes risk of costly errors, audits, and compliance violations, especially across multiple states and offices.

  • Availability of creating as many labor/org fields as needed

Cons

  • time keeping in general sometimes this can be tricky to use for both admins, employees, and middle management
  • Being able to go backwards and re distribute payroll labor. I know this is possible, but for example if department 200 wasn't created at the time payroll was processed it wont pick up the change after the fact.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use isolved as our payroll and HRIS solution. We run our benefits and COBRA tracking through isolved. We use the system for onboarding through offboarding and all employee functions through their employment. The employees clock in and out through the system to track times. This is done through the computer, timeclock or APP. The App is very functional for the employees.

Pros

  • The payroll processing has been a huge benefit in keeping our weekly payroll process on track and accurate.
  • The COBRA services are very beneficial and we do not have to do any tracking. I appreciate this process is no longer on my duty list.
  • I would say the third id probably the timekeeping. The system is effective for daily tracking and timecard review. The access to the time clock is exceptional with multiple access points. The adjustments for additional pay on holidays has been helpful.

Cons

  • Multiple pay rates would be an opportunity. Their solution was not effective for our use and was a challenge to work through.
  • I have not come across any vendor that has a solution for geofencing with rotating IP addresses. This is something we have asked for but not high on their priority list.
  • I do not have a third as we are happy with the system overall.

Return on Investment

  • Office labor saving when we transitioned was immediate.
  • Easy platform has made adoption good for all levels of employees.
