The collaborative planning feature is great and helps us get all participants of the project to be in sync. We can also do very efficient scheduling tools. Project tasks can easily be entered and classified, post which can be assigned to a person and it can be tracked to completion.
  • Features are current and efficient.
  • The graphical interface is great.
  • There is no lag while switching modules.
  • The integration option to open source applications should be available.
  • Support could be better.
We had 3 projects which needed to be handled at the same time and the ERP Project Management Module helped us track the project and complete it successfully. Being a big team of 160 members, allocating tasks and tracking each task was made possible only with the ERP Project Management Module.

We use ERP Procurement Cloud for all our corporate purchasing. It's very simple and since our vendors also use Oracle, inter-company workflows are recognized and transactions are real-time. The best part about Oracle ERP Procurement is the user interface, it is very intuitive and modern. We also get a great dashboard that shows us pending tasks and a deadline option.
  • Inter-company connection
  • Security
  • Unified standard workflows
  • After-sales Support
  • New features
  • License cost
Oracle ERP Procurement is well suited for a company where the number of procurement requests is huge. Since most other companies would also have Oracle ERP solution, it is easier for us to connect the workflows and also to keep security in place.
I would not recommend Oracle ERP Procurement for small organizations where the monthly procurement is less than $10,000.

At UBS, I work with application teams from different domains in Oracle ERP Cloud. I also work with end users like traders, asset managers, and wealth advisors from different regions for resolving their Oracle ERP Cloud and Transportation Management related issues. I also have knowledge of SCM cloud products, which are a set of software applications that can be used by clients to manage different business processes like order management, procurement, product management, inventory management, etc.
  • Flexible.
  • Easy maintenance.
  • User-friendly product.
  • Application that takes a long time to respond when there’s major issues.
  • Support response time could be shorter.
  • Support needs to more quickly understand how problems with ERP Cloud impact the business.

Oracle cloud is an Enterprise-class cloud platform. It has 3 main divisions, which are the platform as a service, database as a service, and software as a service. We leveraged all the three components and they worked well for us. We were using outdated disparate systems for various departments. Some of the systems were heavily customized and at the end of their life cycle based on outdated technology. We wanted to move on to a single platform, streamline our processes, use the latest and greatest technology and save money at the same time. After many deliberations, we chose Oracle Cloud. Oracle Cloud is secure, agile, comes with collaboration tools, inbuilt analytics, and is mobile and tablet friendly.
  • User-friendly, intuitive interface. Comes with dashboards and inbuilt analytics.
  • Comes with inbuilt collaboration tools, which helps in achieving efficiency through inter and intradepartmental collaboration.
  • Helps in closing the books on time with automated reconciliations.
  • Helps with ease of use and streamlined business process.
  • All the features available in the Oracle E-business Suite application are not available yet. Oracle is working hard to bring them in. The sooner the better.
  • The Oracle support needs to improve. More information needs to be provided on Oracle's support website.
  • Oracle needs to give importance to the Oracle community. So that more users use it and more people find help in it.
  • Oracle should disseminate the information freely on various products, issues, etc. The information is not available in an easily accessible way.
  • There is scope for improvement in the user guides. They should be simple with diagrams, pictures, etc. As of now, it is not easy to understand from the documentation.
Oracle Financials Cloud is a great product. It is used in various industries all over the world. It helps in meeting the regulatory requirements in various geographies. It is easily scalable as the companies grow. We are in the construction industry and we use retainage in our projects. We could not figure out a way to make it work as of now. It will be great if the retainage feature is added soon in the Cloud. Allocation in general ledgers is complex as of now. I think, it can be made easier and simpler.

We use Oracle Financials across the Verizon Media Group. It is used by finance team and across the entire organization [for] procurement/inventory management. Helps in procurement to pay process, asset management, inventory, warehouse management etc., as the primary system of records. It is the primary system for financial reporting and consolidation process.
  • Fixed Assets management
  • Warehouse Management

Oracle ERP Cloud is being solely used by our Finance department. As our organization started to grow, we quickly realized that we needed a robust and reliable platform that can handle all of our financing needs. Oracle ERP Cloud solves a variety of fundamental finance-related problems such as: planning finance, ensuring governance, managing accounts, managing risks, and reporting of taxes.
  • Enterprise-grade security...period. There is no worse casualty an organization can face other than data theft.
  • Reasonably priced, so it does not empty the organization's budget. The price of Oracle ERP Cloud is lower than most of its competitors.
  • Has plugins for all the major databases, making integration of Oracle ERP quick and easy.
  • The user interface isn't necessarily friendly to newcomers. There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to getting used to where all the components and settings are.
  • The stock modules provided may not appeal to all businesses. Our organization had to create custom modules to satisfy our business needs.
  • Lacks localization features that cater to those outside of North America when it comes to legal and fiscal requirements.
Oracle ERP Cloud is well suited for medium-sized businesses and up that are trying to streamline their financing processes on a reliable platform. It is tightly integrated and scalable. If your Finance department is looking to innovate with latest technologies like: AI, AR, ML, IoT, or RPA, Oracle ERP is the perfect solution to your needs.

It is predominantly used for financial accounting. It is used by the entire finance department.
  • Month-end closing process.
  • Seamless integration between subledgers.
  • Good dashboard.
  • More options in reporting with details of sub-ledger in a unified format
Oracle Financials is well suited an organization that wants to implement vanilla implementation where the users don't want to customize. Oracle already has prebuilt many features. It is less appropriate if the organization has a need for minimal features because the cost of the product is high for implementing with minimal features. Oracle should come up with flexible pricing within a single module based on features.

[Oracle ERP Cloud] is used for internal transactions, this solves a lot of custom requirements and maintenance. The product has most modern business processes, so there is no need for customization. It also solves resource costs.
  • Reporting
  • Integration
  • Usability
  • Expense through Payroll
[Oracle ERP Cloud] is good for all verticals, and small to large business.

Oracle Cloud is used by International Trade org for import and export decisions. It is used for customer screening, product classification, import and export HTS, and ECCN number. It gets Order and Shipment data. It also does US customs filing for export data, and this is done via the Decartes company.
  • Quarterly patches.
  • Staying current.
  • New features.
  • Patch timing.
  • Support.
  • Knowledge.
Specific scenarios where Oracle ERP Cloud is well suited, and/or scenarios where it is less appropriate, are where you need to set up your business quickly without worrying about setting up a data center. It helps minimize cost, rapid development, and implementation, as well as with staying always current with new features and the quarterly patches installed and scheduled.

We use Oracle ERP Cloud across the enterprise to support all our business and administrative functions in the areas of finance and supply chain.
  • Quarterly releases, software always being upgraded, no infrastructure to support internally.
  • Reduces the internal IT infrastructure footprint.
  • Standardizes our business processes and master data across all workstreams.
  • Approval workflows could use more robust functionality.
  • Procurement, SCM inventory management is not as robust as we expected.
Oracle ERP Cloud is well suited for our Finance and SCM functions, but SCM is very minimal.

We use Oracle Financials across the whole organization with a user base in the US, Canada, UK, Spain, Sweden, Australia, and APAC regions. Oracle Financials aids in the majority of our day-to-day financial activities and helps tracks our sub-ledger activities and generate reports out of our ledgers and helps consolidate data from multiple ledgers to our US ledger.
  • The area where Oracle Financials does well is capturing all sub-ledger transactional data.
  • Consolidate data from all ledgers.
  • Helps in reconciling data between sub-ledgers and GL.
  • AP invoice scanning solution.
Oracle Financials is well suited for capturing transactions at the sub-ledger level and then consolidating at the ledger level.

We use Oracle Cloud Financials and Revenue Management Cloud to address the multi-country financial needs of our company. Revenue Management helps us adhere to ASC 606 accounting standards.
  • Robust and proven accounting engine.
  • Payables are very good.
  • Receivables module is very stable and is very powerful.
  • Order management should be improved in the cloud. Capabilities available in On-Prem should be brought to the cloud.
  • Revenue Management should be a little more flexible.
  • Allocations in General Ledger is a hit or a miss on Oracle Cloud Financials.
ERP Cloud provides a very limited capability of customizations. So if the business processes are not very complex and require minimal customization then Oracle Cloud ERP is recommended.

Our Accounting, Payables, Receivables, Treasury and Revenue Accounting teams mainly use Oracle ERP Cloud. Apart from that, FP&A, Tax, and Audit teams also use this product. It helps us from Record to Report, Supplier Payment, AR accounting, and Financial Statement generation.
  • Financial Statement Reporting
  • Currency Revaluation, Translation and consolidation
  • Supplier Payments
  • Secondary Ledger mapping
  • Financial Reporting Studio is complex to work with. Need better tool
  • Recurring Allocation Journals
It is well suited for financial modules. Need better product functionality for Revenue Management cloud service.

We have implemented and are using OTM and GTM at Uber. We are currently on 19a Version in production, and will be moving to 19c soon.
The GTM module is a great tool, catering to all our compliances Globally. We use Descartes for Product classification and RPLS data. A few things to be improved are the RPLS algorithm, which gives a lot of false positives. Other than this issue, GTM is great. The AES plugin through Descartes is great. A few other areas that need improvements are on the integrations. In addition to GLOG XML, other content types should be supported (JASON, CSV, etc.)
  • The on-prem ERP modules integration for Master data, P2P, and O2C transactions are very simple and straight-forward.
  • Better RPLS screening.
  • OTM-GTM integrations with 3rd party systems/applications -- JASON, CSV, and allowing SFTP, custom HTTP headers etc.
OTM -- The Order management, Shipment planning execution, and Logistics financials are good. GTM Control screening, License, and document management are great.
FTI and GTI (Analytics) need some improvement.

It is being used across the whole org for the financials applications. I.E., payables, purchasing, and fixed assets.
We support the in-house users for the same, in case they face any issues or need any assistance with the product.
  • OTBI report are very user-friendly.
  • The Supplier Quality Module in the P2P business flow is a great added feature.
  • We use the Multi-D database instead of the daily data load to Hyperion which was there in the earlier versions.
  • The supplier invoices scanning could have some more features and error-free processing.
It is great for the Multi-D Database feature wherein data is loaded in the ESSBASE also along with the ERP DB. Thus, not having any additional need to run Daily Loads from GL to Hyperion. Users have the ability to access the live data in the ESSBASE for their reporting, thus making life way easier.

It's being used to enable the modern best practice use and the standardization of the organization. It's used through the organization itself throughout the people and processes.
  • It's simple and easy to use.
  • It's open to connecting to any other systems.
  • It's easy to adopt the modern best practices embedded.
  • You can enable fast transformation or the pace the customer requires.
  • It changes the way the consulting services do their value service, and changes the deployment process.
  • Business process automation.
  • It enables mobile business processes.
  • It's easy to configure workflows.
Oracle is well suited for:
  • Thinking to upgrade your SAP legacy Applications.
  • Commitment to reducing TCO.
  • Taking the organization to the next level and facilitates the adoption for a new generation of employees.
  • Wanting to eliminate the high costs of SAP.
It's less appropriate if you:
  • Want to be living in the past, waiting for your business death.
  • Want to keep with a higher level of costs with SAP.

Oracle Hyperion is being used for budget applications within the Financial and Budgeting teams. It has greatly helped streamline our processes internally.

We were able to leverage the project's capability of perpetual accounting to provide operational reports across the financial year. Customers didn't use the project billing aspect that was turned on. Assets integration from projects was another advantage that was implemented for them.
  • Very structured implementation compared with earlier versions of apps.
  • UI is role-specific and instead of training end-users about choices most of the activities are listed.
  • One specific area comes to mind quickly is the inability to use extensions in the projects area.
  • Integration with Oracle payroll rates for labor cost would be a good example of when someone wants to use actual rates. These are available in Cloud and PPM you should be able to use them rather than defining a new rate schedule.
I have used ERP and don't see any issues in it except for those listed below. I have been in software, insurance, healthcare, agriculture, and construction industries, and the software works well. Based on my experience, security and data sharing with other hosting companies is one of the major concerns.

We use ERP for report development and order management. ERP simplifies the entry of orders for fulfillment. Sometimes it can be hard to find the correct module to link the reports with, but ERP Cloud helps with that.
  • Performance - fulfillment of orders
  • End-user access - users are able to work with the system in little time of training
  • Up time
  • Switching between modules
  • Fewer clicks to access the modules
  • Easier integrations with other Oracle products
  • Creating custom reports is difficult to do
Oracle ERP is well suited for financials and accounting modules, but not suitable for custom reports.

Oracle Financials is used by our finance team for reconciliations. My team grabs all the online transactions on the platform, and then push it to Oracle for our finance team to do the reconciliation magic! The company used different Oracle financial modules like account receivables, account payables, and general ledger to reconcile receipts with the bank transactions.
  • It's really great at doing the reconciliation job for the company.
  • Provides lockbox functionality to import the files from different vendors.
  • Seamless integration with different banks.
  • Has a hard time with huge datasets.
It really helps in the reconciliation process and provides seamless integration with third parties, especially banks. The general ledger module really works well for the company, but the account recommendation module can be improved a bit. I wish we could load more data. The interfaces could be simpler.
