What is SwiftKanban?
SwiftKanban is a web-based electronic enterprise/portfolio Kanban and visual management app for both co-located and distributed teams and enterprises. SwiftKanban combines Scrum, Kanban, and visual management into a tool for Lean/Agile software development, visual project management, and business collaboration and improvement.
SwiftKanban connects teams using popular productivity and office tools like Outlook, GSuite, and 1000s of others using Zapier, as well as with MS Teams and Slack. It supports over 60 popular enterprise-class tools such as TFS/ Azure DevOps, JIRA, and CA Agile Central. SwiftSync can be used to visualize work across the organization. |
SwiftKanban also features a Story Mapping board that offers a visual tool to analyze, brainstorm and breakdown a product user’s journey in a specific workflow of their regular work, starting with high-level steps down to the lowest level tasks they must be able to accomplish using the product. |
SwiftKanban can be used by software teams, IT/ops/DevOps teams, project managers/teams and those in HR, marketing, sales, procurement, construction, insurance, legal and other fields to visualize their team’s processes and work and improve overall flow, efficiency, and delivery of value to their customers.
SwiftKanban is available in both SaaS and on-premise models, and comes with a free Team edition as well as Group and Enterprise options.
SwiftKanban is also available in Microsoft Teams. Users can add SwiftKanban to any of their channels in the Microsoft teams to access their Kanban board and perform several activities using the SwiftKanban commands available in the MS Teams.
SwiftKanban harnesses AI/ML to derive perspective and intelligent insights from the existing data. The AI Similarity Recommendation engine in SwiftKanban is based on “semantic/contextual search” which is based on NLP and deep learning (shallow neural network). When creating new cards or modifying existing ones in the Kanban Board, SwiftKanban’s AI-based Similarity Recommendation engine can detect similar cards that already exist in the system and display them for ideas and solutions that may have already been explored in the past, both within and outside a team.

SwiftKanban has proven to be an invaluable tool for a variety of users. With its ability to understand the probabilistic of delivery estimates and define flexible roadmaps, it is highly useful for managing software development demands and connecting them to company initiatives. Users have found great value in monitoring the progress of their projects and effectively tracking user stories through the activity log feature. The software's visual workflow model and metrics generation have been particularly appreciated by users, allowing them to stay organized at an individual level and keep leaders informed about the progress of work. Additionally, SwiftKanban has helped teams implement the Kanban philosophy, especially in companies with distributed teams, and effectively control teams, define roles, and set priorities. It is considered the most effective way to visually manage, track, and report on team work. While some users have found the customer support mediocre and feel that suggestions are not taken into account, the vendor's transparency about their enhancement roadmap and quick resolution to questions have been commended.
