8x8 Work does what it does
Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work
We use 8x8 in place of having desk phones. Since we are a hybrid shop, a desk phone solution doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm just a user, but from day 1, 8x8 worked for me. Whether I'm in the office or at home, I can pick up my calls.
There is a rudimentary text chat option as well. I use a separate chat service for engineering work, but if I needed to text someone else in the company outside of engineering, I have that availability.

Pros
- has a directory with all the company users loaded
- calls come in without any setup work on the user's end
- chat attachment size allows for up to 50M files
Cons
- text chat needs a little more functionality, formatting, images maybe, it's very dry as plain text w/ simple emojis and attachments
- no physical phones
- no office architecture to manage physical phones
- works well for hybrid users, it's available anywhere
