Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series (Formerly Virtual Office)

It is being used to aid in communication between locations, to integrate and make available multiple applications to all users and to replace old phone systems.
  • Easy to set up.
  • Easy to manage.
  • Easy to communicate with other users.
  • Easy to manage numbers.
  • Admin Console - it would be nice to be able to sort by more fields.
  • It would be nice for agents to have a portal with access to all accounts.
  • Ring Groups should be able to forward directly to another voicemail box.
  • Happier employees.
  • Knowing what we have and don't have for service.
  • Ease of communication between offices.
OfficeSuite is a very easy system to use, and is better at allowing users to sort by different fields. 8x8 provides a one stop shop for setting up a user. When you create their extension you are also creating their user profile. The ability to port numbers in the Admin Console is huge, and works really well. The LNP team is excellent!
The support is great once you hear from a technician. However, you might wait a day or two to hear from somebody. Once a tech makes contact the communication and follow-up is excellent. The techs are very friendly and knowledgeable. If they don't know they answer they consult with their coworkers, or escalate to a higher tier.
It's so easy to use! If you have any experience in cloud based hosted phone systems 8x8 is a no brainer. There is a lot of logic in the product. And, they do their best to prevent you from making an error or forgetting to add information. Everything is easy and logical from setting up hours, adding sites, building auto attendants, ring groups (needs improvement to forwarding of missed calls), assigning roles, and porting numbers (regular telephone numbers, toll free numbers and wireless numbers).

8x8 X Series is suited for small to large offices. It is easy to setup and manage. I haven't run into a situation where it's not suitable unless it becomes an issue of cost.
