Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

I’m using it for a few different email lists. A lot of things I would have to do manually are eliminated by the provided and custom automation. Another thing I really like is the split testing. You can pick a percentage of your outgoing email list to A/B. Say 10 percent of each. It will then determine a winner, for example of the subject line that gets more opens or clicks. Then it will send the remaining 80 percent to the winner. Very useful.
  • Automations
  • Reports
  • Split tests
  • Tagging and keeping a record of a contacts activity.
  • Part of the reports on split
  • tests can be a little confusing.
  • To see a previously sent email’s contents you have to go the report screen and clicks messages. Not very intuitive.
  • I feel like the drag and drop email editor could use some work. Especially when you try to move images. Often I have a hard time getting an image to be exactly where I want it.
  • It’s allowed me to focus less on my email list maintenance and more on serving my clients.
  • With the automations clients get pre-qualified much faster.
  • I’ve made more money since I’ve started using Active Campaign.
It may have to do with the plan I was on but Mailchimp was not for me. Not very straightforward. If you’d are doing a very basic small list it could work. Active Campaign comes across as a way more pro solution. As I recall I was on boarded by an employee who showed me a lot of what AC is capable of. I haven’t explored all these features myself but will say it is comprehensive.

Do you think ActiveCampaign delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ActiveCampaign's feature set?

Yes

Did ActiveCampaign live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ActiveCampaign go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ActiveCampaign again?

Yes

It’s very well suited to handling a large email list. If you need a sequenced email series it’s great. Lots of options for conditional actions. If you were doing a very small list I could see how it might be overkill. But if you are having new email signups every day, want to really grow that list, and are trying to sell your services or products this is the way to go. plus their deliverability is excellent.
