Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

We use Acumatica for all financial operations (AP, AR, Financial Reporting, GL, etc...), distribution, warehouse management, and CRM. The system organizes all our customer orders, vendor orders, stock items, stock quantities, and all sorts of reporting that we use to improve our business decisions. Acumatica helps us run our business both in a day-to-day fashion as well as give us useful information to make strategic long-term decisions.


  • Data entry (using classes)
  • Getting information out of the system (generic inquiries, reporting)
  • Order management
  • Warehouse management
  • Flexibility of use


  • Report Writer; Crystal reports is powerful but difficult to use
  • Canned sales tax report; we had to build ours from scratch
  • More characters available for user-defined fields (I think the limit is 200 characters)
  • Too early to tell, we have only been in for 4 months
  • Likely improvement in time to process orders
  • Nothing missing from our old system, we were able to replicate nearly everything resulting in limited downtime during the switchover
Acumatica VAR/Partner
We buy and resell HVAC parts and pieces. It helps us track all our vendor and customer orders so we can get the right pieces to the right places at the right time. Error correction features are also pretty powerful, helping us correct anything that was mis-ordered.
Pricing and support were better as well as the flexibility of the system

I like how it's scalable with any small or medium sized business and flexible enough to meet business needs. I'd always rather mold the software to the business needs than change business processes to fit what the software can handle. There hasn't been a business case we could come up with where there isn't a way Acumatica can handle it, whether through approval queues, generic inquiries, or 3rd party add-ins.

Evaluating Acumatica and Competitors

Yes - Sage 50, which was replaced because it couldn't handle our sales volumes/inventory levels and it wasn't a cloud solution
