Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
ADP Workforce Now is currently being used for payroll and basic HRIS functions across our entire organization and at our parent company.
Pros
- Good customizable report options and fairly user friendly.
- The self-service platform is robust and user-friendly. Employee ability to make notes on time cards cuts down on paper exchanges.
Cons
- Navigating between screens for a single employee is clunky and requires a lot of drop-down menus and expanding screens.
- The website seems to time out or loads improperly frequently requiring a logout and log back in to reset.
- Reduces liability for ACA Compliance.
- Increases accuracy with payroll.
- iSolved Payroll
My last employer switched payroll services from ADP to iSolved due to issues with the assistance with troubleshooting. They kept the 401K in the ADP platform and was a nightmare to maintain. The new payroll company had to manually build a file converter to generate a file format that the ADP platform would accept on upload. There was no internal checks and balance built into the process, it all had to be done manually. When we had issues with incomplete file uploads and impounds not being taken or being taken twice, the customer service experience was horrible. We attempted to fix issues for months to no avail and eventually decide to move to another recordkeeper. Even with a looming end date, ADP did nothing to assist with correcting the issues we had, including issues with our 5500, and handed off the fund without even briefing the new company on the status of the issues. Then our designated client support person insisted that we needed to address our concerns to general customer service instead of them since we were no longer an active customer. We were charged $1800 for legacy support service, and they did nothing to troubleshoot the issues either.
The company I'm currently with uses ADP predominately for payroll services and independently uses other programs' health benefits administration, performance management, client management, 401K, etc. This is partially due to cost and industry-specific needs being better served elsewhere, and it's feasible currently due to our relatively small size. ADP is an industry leader in payroll services and suites our current needs well. Overall, I would consider being on par with UltiPro and Paycom that I've used previously, and slightly more streamlined than iSolved.
