Overall Satisfaction with Apple iCloud
We use iCloud as our main source of syncing and sharing files, contacts, calendars, and more. As Mac users, as well as iPhone and iPad users, having all of my synced content at my fingers makes working easier and more efficient, and allows us to work together in automated ways. iCloud creates a safety net in the cloud in the event our machines are unavailable or are lost.
Pros
- Syncing.
- Sharing files.
- Storing data in the cloud.
Cons
- Amount of storage.
- Business email features.
- Custom domain connection.
- Offsite synced data has saved some data that was thought lost.
- Sharing files easily has saved a monthly Dropbox (or like) cost.
- Collaborating on documents has saved time from emailing back and forth.
While I have to use Dropbox on occasion, I greatly prefer to use iCloud for file sharing. I also have used Google's Apps, and because I'm a Mac/iPhone user, iCloud has more easily fit into the normal routine of what I'm already doing and using. Dropbox has some minor features that are more beneficial, like commenting on files, among a few other things. But because if iCloud's built in connections, I prefer to use it for ease of use.
