Overall Satisfaction with Apple iCloud

We use Apple iCloud to synchronize data and files across multiple macintosh computers spread over four remote sites. With the automatic backup of the documents folder as well as the ability to share folders within Apple iCloud across multiple apple accounts, we can keep our data up to date in real time. We also will edit pages documents within our shared environment, allowing us to collaborate on a single document with multiple people.

Pros

  • Syncing across multiple devices on a single Apple iCloud account
  • Sharing files and folders across multiple Apple iCloud accounts
  • Automatic backup of data within the synced folder(s)

Cons

  • Moving large files can be slower sometimes, despite being on a very quick fiber connection
  • Apple iCloud backup makes migration simple
  • Apple iCloud drive allows for simple sharing of files and folders
It is simple to setup, use, and control access to files and folders across multiple devices.
Competitively priced, sometimes less expensive depending on storage needs. Apple iCloud is much easier to use on a macintosh computer since it is built into the operating system.
