Overall Satisfaction with Asana

It is being used by specific departments. Asana is an interactive, reliable and easy-to-use project management solution, which we use for agile driven projects, allowing us to better perform using this approach and keep track of constant changes on the scope of work as a natural and essential part of agile projects.

Pros

  • Agile project management
  • Storyboards design
  • Backlog inventory management
  • Performance management

Cons

  • Lack of robust functionalities for complex CAPEX projects
  • Complex reporting
  • Financial features for complex projects
  • Project Execution Improvement
  • Project Tracking Improvement
  • Quality Management
  • Improved decision-making process and reporting
Asana is really different from other heavy project management solutions, being very intuitive and user-friendly, aligned with the new trends of innovation and improved user experience. Really recommended due to the overall experience it provides to all users and IT/Agile project managers. Definitely a must-have for IT and Agile project management.
I never had to really use Asana support as the onboarding and learning curve of the solution is really simple and impressive, but all things I had to look for further explanation were really well documented by Asana Team on FAQs, Q&As and guides. Therefore, I need to mention that my experience so far is fantastic.
Comparing to other not so complex project management solutions (which does not include Primavera, for example), Asana is way better due to the experience it provides to users and the alignment with the new trends of project management approaches such as Agile. Therefore, the solution is a real improvement on current software landscape for project management.
Asana is really well suited for IT and agile driven projects where there is not much focus on cost/budget management, but in the scope itself, being very flexible to handle constant changes. At the same time, Asana is not recommended for heavy CAPEX projects where finance is an essential part of management.
