Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Asana to organize tasks from colleagues and track my current client load. I use several different boards to manage these tasks. It addresses problems of overlap and inefficiencies. It also helps me make sure nothing slips through the cracks and that my clients have what they need to succeed.

Usability

The functions are not intuitive and it takes a while to learn how to use the platform. There are too many categories for types of task/project/timeline etc and it is unclear what hierarchy to use when planning a project. The text size is too small and the buttons are not designed with obvious icons or intuitive gestures.

Asana is well suited for cross team collaboration and keeping track of a big client load. It is less helpful for personal tasks that repeat -- I prefer to use another platform that is more integrated into my daily life. For big projects, Asana is great -- especially for tracking timelines and competing priorities.
