Overall Satisfaction with Asana

Asana is used across my entire organization. We have implemented it across teams/sectors of our company, and over the years we have refined the process in which we use it as a company. We use it for task management (both on a project, client, and personal level) as well as bandwidth/scheduling planning and estimation.
  • Great customer support/onboarding & training materials
  • Constant innovation
  • Flexibility of the tool as a whole (can be used differently for company wide usage, or for personal use)
  • I would like to see more flexibility in due date functionality. I usually like to start my tasks with generous runway before the due date, so I typically set my due dates much sooner than the actual due date to ensure the tasks are started on time.
  • Additional data visualizations to understand when tasks and projects are clustering together.
  • The flow between tasks and subtasks could potentially be simplified or streamlined
  • Creating Project Boards with subtasks
  • Being able to create and assign tasks to others
  • The new Portfolios feature is something my company intends to heavily lean on going forward.
  • It's helped us track deliverables so nothing falls through the cracks, which reflects positively with our clients
  • It strengthens internal accountability, when tasks are explicitly assigned to employees
  • It's been helpful for personal and professional goal setting

Do you think Asana delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Asana's feature set?

Yes

Did Asana live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Asana go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Asana again?

Yes

I personally find Asana to be a great personal task management system. It gets more complicated and time consuming when it comes to organizing the tasks of a large group of people. Then the use of features like boards, tags, categories, etc becomes more important, but it also means there is a lot of room for error.

I personally rely heavily on Asana to track my own tasks and due dates, and don't heavily rely on it to track the progress of other employee tasks, but from what my coworkers say, this is where is gets very complicated and it's hard to ensure that all employees are consistent and using the Asana features in the same way.
