Overall Satisfaction with Atera
We use Atera to manage all endpoints on our customer's network, and to monitor same.
- Splashtop integration.
- Ease of use.
- Customizable alarms.
- Multi-tenant possible (for co-managed environment).
- Small deployment MSI (great for GPO deployments).
- No Linux agent.
- SNMP monitoring is very poor (no MIBS import possible).
- No agent or templates for monitoring VMWARE.
- KB is cludgy.
- Mac agent is so bad that it shouldn't exist. Not having this option would be preferable to the garbage agent that presently exists.
- By far the most important tool in our organization.
- Setting up specific customers their own profiles and users allows them to co-manage the environment.
We looked at Ninja, Pulseway, and Solarwinds but I didn't love Ninja or Solarwinds. Pulseway was also eliminated straight off as I didn't like their per-device pricing. It would actually be more expensive than Atera. We also considered Teamviewer, however Teamviewer's pricing relative to their feature set is so detached from reality it basically doesn't make sense.
Pretty sure everything I've said thus far makes that pretty clear.
We use the RMM, and Remote Access features. We do not presently use the PSA functionality so I can't speak to that. We also do not use Atera for billing as [our] business uses Quickbooks Desktop and there is no integration built for it. Due to Atera's flexibility in how they've priced the product, we were able to bootstrap our business and grow to over 300 devices under management in a year. We could not run the company without it.
