Overall Satisfaction with Atlassian Confluence

Atlassian Confluence is used across the company, within several locations. Atlassian Confluence is an easy tool to use and connects several teams across the whole organisation. It addressed several communication backlogs and created a more convivial area to share quickly and efficiently updates on projects and steps to follow.

Atlassian Confluence was the market leader and we quickly realized that for our organisation, it was the no-brainer choice as it has more features and is easier to deploy with our other tools, such as Jira.

When you need fast updates and a one stop area to glance at priorities and new stuff on a project, Atlassian Confluence is a great tool. It is fast and easy to consult and provides many features that are helpful, such as the use of quick templates. Might be more user-friendly and intuitive.

Using Atlassian Confluence

250 - Atlassian Confluence is used across the board, managers, engineers, technicians as well as purchasing and accounting folks.
I am not in the support group.
  • Share HOW TO articles and collaborate on these
  • Share and update meeting notes in real time
  • Able to release a product earlier thru inter group working together at the same time on the same documents/tasks.
  • Able to streamline Confluence with JIRA tasks (both from Atlassian) transparently, provides time-savings and concistency
  • Permits efficient use of WIKI's
  • Several Add-ons and/or plugins are available which permits customization and internal applications adapted to our needs
  • More efficient use of WIKIS
Confluence has permitted teams to come together and provide a one stop area to get a tremendous amount of documents and information in an efficient environment. Permits our teams to create documents as an entity and provide feedbacks on the spot in a timely manner. It is flexible and can be easily customized to our needs and grow with us.

Features and usability were and are important as the product can grow with us, is fairly easy to use and we can adapt it to our needs which helps prevent product obsolescence or having to evaluate and purchase another product.
I would not change anything.

Confluence Implementation

Take a bit more time to explain the purpose of Confluence and show demos prior to actual use and content additions.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - We need to be and stay disciplined!
  • Making sure that content and context are well explained and well understood
  • Make sure everyone understands the purpose on Confluence before they add contents

Confluence Training

For me it was...the help menus and webinars were very well presented and easy to understand.

Configuring Confluence

A bit complex but I am not well versed in this area...perhaps with a bit of digging and training it may turn out to be easy
None so far unfortunately.
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
Some - we have added small pieces of custom code - I was not personally involved but the person that did it found it quite easy and user friendly.

Confluence Support

I personally did not have many interactions but our admin folks had only good words about AT support Team. Timeliness and professionalism were feedback I heard often.

I believe Premium as we have many users and some fairly new, support is very important to us.
There are too many to pin point one.

Using Confluence

Fairly easy to use, the general word processing of the application can be a bit quirky but with time it gets easier.

Confluence Reliability

Very easy to deploy at multiple facilities and groups and grow as we do.
I do not recall having outages or applications error so far, very reliable and available.
Confluence is quite seamless and its performance is flawless so far.

It was easy to integrate and took no time to do so

Relationship with Atlassian

As we already had experience with Atlassian JIRA we already had a good rapport with them and communications were very easy and efficient.
Again as we had already extensive exchanges with Atlassian for JIRA, this made after sale work a breeze.
Mostly payment terms and roll out schedules.
It helps if you already have an Atlassian Product but even at that, Atlassian are truly efficient so they would also be efficient in any cases.
