Overall Satisfaction with Basecamp
Though we used to use basecamp for client communications, at this point our basecamp usage is limited to just being a simple QA tool. We use it to map out web functionality and modules we'll need for a build, and then as development finishes up, we'll use basecamp to log QA issues that we find throughout the development.
- Organized projects.
- Simple, snappy interface.
- Supports video and images within tasks.
- Would be nice to have lists within lists.
- Bulk add of users.
- More developed tagging structure.
- Faster QA for QAer than previous methods we've tried.
- Faster understanding and implementing that QA.
- More solid projects going out the door.
We found that Basecamp worked better for our needs than these competitors. ML is a bit slow for our purposes, and it doesn't handle images/video in as nice of a way. InVision could potentially work alright for our needs but would require too many different screenshots being uploaded, so working from a list vs working from a screenshot seemed to work best for us. monday.com could work well also but was more expensive.
