Overall Satisfaction with Bazaarvoice

Bazaarvoice (BV) is being used enterprise wide for Hanesbrands Inc. The product addresses our need to collect reviews, stream and moderate social mentions and syndicate to partner retailers.
The departments using BV are Consumer Services, Direct-to-Consumer, Analysts, website developers and Business-to-Business units.
  • Bazaarvoice is the GO TO company for collecting onsite ratings and reviews.
  • Bazaarvoice Curations is new and is making a great impact on conversion! (acquired with Feed Magnet). Having BV handle the moderation based on our business rules allows personnel savings.
  • Bringing Curation into the singular Bazaarvoice dashboard instead of a separate link will be beneficial. Right now there are two separate links. Currently you use two different dashboards to access each feature.
  • I would also like the Training and Issues portal (Spark) to be part of the Bazaarvoice dashboard and not a separate link/email/password.
  • Customer service has definitely seen an increase in productivity as they continue to utilize QandA questions, the web team can then update product information on the product page so the number of questions will eventually decrease.
At the time PowerReviews were the only other vendor we evaluated. Bazaarvoice was easier to implement and a thorough understanding of the apparel industry.
Customer support has been wonderful! Account Managers are extremely knowledgeable and accessible!
For a company our size the only alternative we have entertained is custom built Ratings and Reviews and once you review the cost of developing your own or implementing Bazaarvoice ...its a no brainer.
Ask about future endeavors and how to get the most our of syndication.

Using Bazaarvoice

10 - Consumer Services, Product Marketers, Website Marketers, Web Analysts
5 - Consumer services reps who are knowledgeable about products and can answer the Q&A in that portal. Web analysts who can evaluate pro and con reviews and make recommendations to marketing and merchandsing that would effect the copy/imagery or product placement. Technical minded personell who can identify when there are issues with the product feed and know whom to alert.
  • To identify best and worse sellers due to fit or comfort.
  • We love using the Q&A portal to help consumers get their answers quickly which also help to improve our product copy to minimize questions going forward.
  • Using the Curation tool allows us the ability to see what social platforms and users of the platform like or dislike.
  • Being a manufacturer with an online store, reverse syndication from our retail partners would be most useful.

The reputation of the vendor and ease of implementation for the product features is what sold us on using BazaarVoice.
Time has changed, technology has changed, the integration of social reviews is mandatory, fortunately Bazaarvoice has grown to incorporate social media platforms. This would be an area we would evaluated heavily when we do so again.

Bazaarvoice Implementation

Save time and energy by utilizing their implementation team!

Tealium assisted with the tagging required for Bazaar Voice. Some was done in-house.
Make sure that you have a business person as well as a techincal person involved in implementation.
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled - BV offers a team to help with integrations, we should have contracted with them instead of trying to do it all ourselves! Then their Timeline Manager could have worked directly with our project's timeline manager,
  • Making sure that each vendor (3) knew how each tag/code functioned and how other tags/code impacted their results.

Bazaarvoice Support

Support levels for Bazaarvoice are amongst the best that I have ever encountered. Response time is immediate and I always know the stage of my issue.

Yes - Yes, Support is very quick to react and escalates items themselves when necessary.
When we relaunched our websites we had a few gliches on our end that we just needed help with to implement properly. They were available immediately to walk us through the interface that we needed to update resulting in 0 delay.

Using Bazaarvoice

I'm sure all processes and program can improve, however Bazaarvoice has reached a very easy usability level and hope this continues as the product improves over time.
