Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud eTapestry

We used Blackbaud eTapestry as our donor database - we kept contact information and history on individual and organizational records, we tracked our donations (monetary, gifts-in-kind, etc.), and ran reports for analysis. Blackbaud eTapestry was good for the level of donor stewardship and the number of donor records at our mid-size organization.

  • Constituent management was easy for all members of the Development team, not just the database administrator, meaning everybody could find information easily and quickly
For the smaller organizations, Blackbaud eTapestry does plenty. It was a good database to keep information on individuals, organizations, and gifts. Support was helpful and training was relatively easy, given the user-friendly web-based database. Donation forms were easy to create and drop into our website. People have been using it for so long that the knowledgebase is very robust.
Blackbaud eTapestry is more user friendly for all members of the department. You don't have to be as data-minded to understand the information you put in. The cost is also a huge factor in being the perfect option for smaller organizations. You can increase the number of records you host as needed.

I believer Blackbaud eTapestry is well suited for small to mid-level organizations. It is not as robust as some of the larger donor databases and CRMs, but if you only need the gift history/contact information, Blackbaud eTapestry gets the job done. Data can be exported for use in other programs as well, to fill any gaps.
