Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We are currently in the implementation stage. Once we are fully implemented, we will use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT as our donor management software in conjunction with Blackbaud Financial Edge. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT assists our organization in organizing our donors, helping us follow leads, making sure all of our donors receive regular communication, and keeping detailed information on all of our donors so all staff is aware of important information. We have approximately 1500 active donors.

Insights and analytics have shown us the gaps in our requests from donors. We learned that we were often asking too little of our donors and could have been requesting more due to their financial status. We now have a basis for how to ask major donors for donations, rather than treating all donors the same.

The classes Blackbaud offers through Blackbaud University for Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT are detailed, engaging, and very helpful. There are classes on nearly any topic one could wonder about, so it makes learning how to use the product much easier. We also had a team during the implementation process to help us figure out how to incorporate our business practices.
I have never used another CRM service specifically for nonprofits before, so I cannot compare to those. However, we also implemented Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT at the same time, and the two programs work seamlessly with one another. If a non-profit has an outdated system, such as QuickBooks which is what we previously used, it is much more conducive to use a non-profit-specific program.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is well suited for most non-profit organizations. Our organization has some specific needs due to the nature of our service, and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT has been able to accommodate almost all of them. It is necessary to spend a significant amount of time and effort on implementation, so if this is not possible, it may be worth considering a "canned" CRM. However, with this path, you would not get as much customization.
