Overall Satisfaction with Braze

Braze operates as a centralised point for all marketing communications; it looks to ensure that we don't have any overlapping comms. I specifically use it for customers early on in their lifecycle and to ensure that everyone receives something to aid their conversion. We work with all the different product teams with Braze instead of triggering something through their engineers.

Pros

  • Good interface.
  • Powerful
  • Good community.

Cons

  • Tracking inside Braze is a bit messy, I prefer to export the data.
  • The pricing per data point means we have to limit our scope and capabilities.
  • The structure of the data takes some time to get used to, it could be easier.
  • CACII has gone down by automating comms earlier on.
  • Churn has decreased
  • Engagement has gone up with the higher clicks from IAM.
It's definitely more modern than things like Salesforce, but still, some things are a bit particular. i.e., different forms of data and segments organised in different ways could be improved. Also, Canvas's result tracking and easily reading engagement of different comms could be improved - campaign report builders work but are also not the most usable.
It is still too early to go into details, but Braze offers much more real-time data than other tools, which typically require data warehouse imports.
Braze is much more real-time, has an updated interface, and offers in-app communication, unlike SFMC. The only downside is that Liquid isn't quite as powerful as AMPscript.

Do you think Braze delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Braze's feature set?

Yes

Did Braze live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Braze go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Braze again?

Yes

Braze is particularly good at in-app messages, especially compared to something like Salesforce, where it's impossible. The out-of-the-box templates are also pretty good. The reliability of sends, uptime, and general lack of bugs also seem to be strong points of the tool.
