Overall Satisfaction with Broadvoice

We sought out Broadvoice on the recommendation of an IT colleague. We were shortly losing our provider and needed a replacement quickly. We also were looking for a company that could empower us to be a bit more hands-on with our account and be able to integrate our small offsite offices. Being able to adjust Holiday schedules and messages as needed etc., without having to call customer service was a priority for us. We use an Auto-Attendant menu, use call forwarding, close for a weekly team meeting, and wanted our phones to operate seamlessly with that schedule. When a team member is out of the office, we wanted to easily re-route their calls and adjust who receives their voicemails, etc. Broadvoice offered all of that flexibility at a competitive price. We also have discovered that using the B-Hive app, we can answer and make phone calls from our phone as if we are still in the office anywhere we are. So working from home when needed is easier for us than it ever has been. They are able to be as flexible as our company and grow with us as needed.

Pros

  • Broadvoice is excellent for customizing/tailoring to a business's specific needs.
  • Tech Support is easy to reach, and provides consistent help.
  • Onboarding new customers is very thorough and supportive. Changing phone systems is overwhelming and time-consuming. Broadvoice makes it as easy as possible with clear expectations and fantastic training.

Cons

  • If you need to add a new feature as a current customer, the sales department could improve by giving you more info to get going on implementing the feature. When we added call recording, sales did not let us know we needed to do anything to turn the feature on. We only found out sometime later, when I called tech support to ask for help to find the recordings, that actually, none had been made as the permissions hadn't been turned on. It would have been better if sales had either asked if we would like these permissions turned on and helped us through it or told us initially that we needed to contact tech support before this feature would be turned on. We would have done so immediately. Onboarding new customers is seamless, but making changes to your account could use better integration between sales and tech support. I would still absolutely recommend Broadvoice to others!
  • It would be helpful if the business hours feature could be a bit more dynamic to include easily adjustable hours for companies that close for lunch (like many dental offices) or for team meetings in the middle of the workday, like our office. Broadvoice business hours are best set up for average weekly routines where days are either opened or closed, not opened, then closed, then opened again on the same day. A Broadvoice rep was able to set up our hours exactly as we needed it, and it works perfectly for us, but it was complicated enough that it is not something that we can adjust without their help, so on the rare occasion that we do not have our weekly team meeting we just leave the phones as-is because changing this for one week is more complicated on our end than is worth it. I imagine this will likely improve in the future. I would still absolutely recommend Broadvoice to others!
  • Auto-attendant menu
  • Using the B-hive app so we can use phones remotely if traveling or working from home has been fantastic
  • The ability to integrate offsite offices even for a small company like ours
  • Using the B-Hive app and being able to work seamlessly from home during a snowstorm or when 4 out of us came down sick with Covid at the same time. No one had to risk dangerous roads to make it to the office or completely shut-down operations when we were too sick to come in. The work flexibility has been invaluable.

As a small business, the difference between our previous provider and Broadvoice was huge, and we have been so happy with it. I would recommend Broadvoice for anyone looking to make a change to their company phone systems. They made the process as pain-free as possible and offer a competitive price. They take care of their current customers as well, better than many other tech companies I have worked with. If you have never utilized an auto-attendant menu, it could be a great update for your company, and Broadvoice can help you get that set up very easily and generally will help you transition to them and get your phone system set up to exactly how you need it, and empower you to manage your account on many different points. Also, you can use their B-Hive app to answer and make phone calls like you are in the office, from anywhere.
