We use Browserstack for automating our test scripts. It is the best tool to automate multiple tests for cross browser testing. We can configure the operating system, ram, memory, browser as per our need. It supports both web and mobile apps testing. It works seamlessly on cloud and we can monitor the automation runs directly from any browser.

Performance

Browserstack is pretty fast and reliable when it comes to performance. We can see significant time gap between the tests run locally and the test run in Browserstack. Its performance is unparalleled. We don't integrate Browserstack with any other app so, I cant comment on that. But as a standalone app it performs quite well and fast.

Comprehensive Coverage

Yes, browserstack cloud environment ability has really helped us in identifying bugs way earlier because of its parallel testing and cross browser testing abilities. It has helped our development process quite significantly by identifying bugs early and fixing them before production release. It has been so helpful in delivering the application on time bug free.

We havent used any other alternative to browser. So cant comment on it.

Browserstack is a perfect tool for cross browser and parallel testing. It works completely on cloud, so it doesnt require any additional app or local resource to run tests. It has bit of learning curve so it can be difficult for a beginner to use the tool. It is pricey so not many companies be able to afford it. But for the features it support, price is totally justified. UI is very user friendly, but the live monitoring animations are pretty laggy and jerky. Overall its a great product.
