Overall Satisfaction with Canto

Our entire company uses Canto, as well as our partners when file/doc sharing is needed. It has been an amazing upgrade in organization and file management. We needed a way to keep images, ads, and other creative organized in a way that is easy and intuitive to use; Canto has done that for us. Their tagging system is a life changer.

  • Too many features. Very confusing at the beginning.
  • Being able to add files in folders instead of just in albums—the process a bit confusing.
  • Seamless sharing of files with outside sources.
  • Brand guidelines readily available for anyone who requests it.
  • Time saving when tags and metafiles are correctly implemented.
We wanted to be able to search ad creative and photographs by specific features, i.e. Palm Tree, Sunset, etc. Canto has the ability of tagging images/files when uploaded and all anyone has to do afterward is search for a specific word, and that the image with that tag will pop up; this is a game-changer from Google Drive. In the past, we would have to look at an entire collection of images to find which one was best suited, now we can narrow that search exponentially by just using tags.
We had an onboarding specialist that helped us at the beginning, explaining all features and helping us answer any questions we had. She made a daunting task that much easier.
The only reason why I do not give it a 10, is because it can be TOO MUCH at times. There are so many options to choose from that it can be quite overwhelming. The initial setup takes quite some time to do, but once you are past that initial hump it will be worth it.

This is definitely a software for companies that have A LOT of branches working together. It is a great system when you need to keep a big number of files, ads, images, well organized. It also makes the process of sharing files with outside partners very seamless and helps create an easy routine and process to follow. I don't think small businesses with an average amount of creative would benefit from it, as it probably has more features than they would require for the cost.
