Overall Satisfaction with Celonis
We began by using the Celonis process explorer to analyze our Quote to Cash processes in SAP and see where delays and inefficiencies are most likely to occur. This has lead to a series of kaizen events where Celonis was used for both analysis and to track the progress of the solutions that came out of the kaizens. We have then created several Celonis analyses to monitor areas of interest such as how delivery blocks are being used, how long it takes to enter and confirm sales orders, and on-time delivery rates in a number of different ways. Celonis action engine signals being used to monitor many things including:
- What sales order line items are at risk of being late.
- Items that have credit holds generated for them.
- Any sales order line items that are being sold at negative margins.
- How long the new material master creation process takes.
- Providing detailed information on processes and how long they take.
- Alerting us quickly of undesirable actions.
- Outstanding training.
- Very responsive customer success manager.
- I wish it was easier verify that the data in Celonis matches the SAP data 100%.
- I wish Celonis automation was easier to implement.
- Our sales order process conformance (adhering to the most efficient process) has increased from 17% to 62%.
- Our sales order management rework rate has gone down 7% year to date in 2021 over 2020.
We also use Power BI but it does not have the detailed SAP process data that Celonis has. I also prefer the Celonis interface and find Celonis dashboards and analyses easier to use. Celonis also has much better training.
We have been able to use Celonis to identify the improvement initiatives that will have biggest impact and build strong business cases to get funding for them. We have also been able to use Celonis to see which of our digital transformation initiatives are not effective.
