Overall Satisfaction with Chrome Remote Desktop
We use Chrome Remote Desktop in multiple ways. The two primary ways we are using it are A: Test content off of our network to verify if there is an issue with a website or if we want to make sure that there is accessibility back into the system from an outside source. And B: If we have issues connecting to a remote machine on the network and none of our other tools will allow us to connect, we will ask the user to send us a support code through Chrome Remote Desktop to connect to their machine to fix the issue.
- Allow connection to any machine that authorizes it.
- Very responsive to commands.
- Both parties have to have a Google account.
- You can't copy/paste into the remote session.
- It is a free product, so the ROI is very high.
- We have been able to use it to bridge the gap to keep systems running when we have issues.
We selected Chrome Remote Desktop because it was a free alternative that gives us the functionalities that we need.
