Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella

CIsco Umbrella is currently being used by our engineering department to monitor our wide variety of servers. With full transparency, it addresses problems such as cybersecurity and general hardware problems.
  • Cybersecurity malware prevention
  • Possibility to view the status of all ports and devices on the machine
  • Easy to use dashboard
  • Some areas of the dashboard are misplaced and are a bit difficult to get through
  • We've hit a few false-positive reports
  • Live reporting could use some rework
  • Great integration with other Cisco products
  • Saves money and time
Umbrella provides some pretty useful DNS protection, which has been a pretty big use-case for our organization. By blocking malicious intent across all monitored ports, we have peace of mind that no malicious machines will be connecting to our networks.
As of right now, it's being used with Microsoft Active Directory for internal authentication. It seamlessly fits, and did not require too much configuration.
The support team is one of the best! They had great response times and were generally very pleasing to work with on short notice after pulling our hair out with a weird bug/problem.
Umbrella provides both more visibility and an easier administration dashboard to manage operations easier.
Umbrella is pretty well suited for a variety of applications, from simple home use to corporational use. Despite false-positives, it's easy to be assured that data is safe, secure, and monitored.
