Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella
We are using Cisco Umbrella to monitor our internet traffic and control application usage. This is used across our origination at all of our sites. The biggest issue we are solving for is web connections to unknown sites. In a WFH world, Cisco Umbrella has assisted us in keeping our users safe.
- DNS monitoring
- Web filtering
- Application filtering
- Reporting can be problematic
- Policies can be hard to manage
- Safer computing
- Less user downtime from malware\crypto
- Central DNS management
Cisco Umbrella does a great job for us for DNS protection and URL filtering. Since moving to WFH, our workforce is now distributed. With Cisco Umbrella we are able to manage all of our endpoints regardless on their location or connection type. The central management has proven beneficial when making global changes to computers that may or may not connect to our network.
Since we are currently using other Cisco security products, Cisco Umbrella fits right in. Now that Cisco is integrating their security applications into Secure-X, I expect that there will be deeper connections between products soon. This is going to be very helpful for end to end research and protections for our endpoints.
For our use there was no real option or reason for us not to go with Cisco Umbrella. Our other security products were from Cisco, so it just made sense. We did look at the other products to make sure there was not any features missing that we required and there were not.
