Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Citrix Files (formerly ShareFile) is probably one of the best storage services around. It has strong security that maintains PICs compliance and has one of the fastest sharing platforms around. This was one of the last things we implemented for a completely cloud-based office environment and couldn’t be happier.

Return on Investment

Has a higher cost than most.
Involves some setup to make it look professional.
Not a lot of things integrate well.

Alternatives Considered

Dropbox, Box, Amazon Cloud Drive, Google Drive and OneDrive

ShareFile has a more native feel which is helpful for the “older” employees.

The search feature in ShareFile.com is fast and searches document text along with tags and keywords.

NetSuite, Microsoft Office 365, Slack

Performance

It is based on AWS storage services so it is quick and works really well for us. All your files are truly “in the cloud”.

Usability

Using the “Citrix Files” app it is the native windows file explorer. The web interface is simple with pretty much no learning curve- just click and go. Integration and transfers were easy.

Likelihood to Recommend

Suited for an office with at least 5 users. Pricing is based on a minimum of 5.
