Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

- project/task management (love it)
- We embed our Coda docs into different folders - we used to use ClickUp docs but they were too buggy
- Sales tracker for client leads
- Employee tracker for employee info
- Time tracker (however not everyone uses it)
- Spaces & Folders organized by client, admin, projects, and pods (departments)

Pros

  • Task statuses for project management
  • The different views available
  • Dashboards for time tracking and clickup use

Cons

  • Docs are buggy esp. when the files are too large
  • advanced functions that arent easy to learn/pick up
  • Making sure tasks are recorded and completed on time
  • If everyone tracked time accurately we would be able to use dashboard info to measure profitability & efficiency
  • Organization
FOr tasks that multiple team members work on together, we separate out parent tasks as subtasks and delegate them other to different team members. This allows people to collaborate on different aspects of the job for a common goal.

We also use forms to communicate design scopes over to the design team, and Slack integrations for task updates.
We would love to learn more about automations as I dont think we use enough of these features in our work process. We have integrations with Slack, but not yet email. We use automations when it comes to design forms - assigning design tasks to designers automatically.
I've only used Trello before, and ClickUp is way more powerful than Trello in terms of functionality:
- Automated & repetitive tasks
- Different lists
- Folders & Spaces
- Time tracking built in
- Integrations

Do you think ClickUp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ClickUp's feature set?

Yes

Did ClickUp live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

ClickUp is great but there is definitely a learning curve. It's great for project & task management and making sure that everything is done on time. However in my experience when it comes to docs, we found it very buggy when multiple people are editing the document at the same time or when it gets too large - the file gets glitchy & slow, and sometimes it deletes the content ppl added, which loses progress & wastes time.
