Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We deployed ClickUp as a replacement for our Asana solution, with the aim of using it for product, project, and portfolio management. While Asana worked well for those that knew how to use it, the original implementation lacked training and ultimately led to poor user adoption. A third party was used to help us with our transition to ClickUp, and our professional services included power and end user training, as well as consulting time for building out some initial custom workflows.
- Good price point vs competitive offerings
- Simple and intuitive user interface
- Easily customizable no-code solution
- More control over notification settings, users constantly claim it SPAMs them
- Easier approval feature, maybe a built in button
- Positively improved project mgmt productivity
Collaboration works well, though integration with other systems for SSO, Teams or SharePoint integration, or custom email notifications and integration might require a higher tier of subscription. The audit feature seems to be very robust, recording every change or interaction within the system. And the ability to restore deleted items is very easy.
We have been able to digitize a couple of manual or paper-based workflows thus far, but we have not yet widened usage to allowing end users to create their own workflows. Looking forward to further democratizing automations and user created content over the coming months. The more manual processes we replace, the greater the potential ROI.
ClickUp has very competitive pricing, and is generally more cost effective than its competitors at each feature tier. Asana is also a great product, and it does have some advantages when it comes to built-in tasks, such as approvals, or project management reports and templates. Project server is also a wonderful product and tightly MS O365 integrated, but it is rigid.
