Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We use ClickUp to ingest and track projects that originate at the Marketing level of our company. Anything from run the business type asks to executive projects are added to our ClickUp instance. We then build everything in a consistent format so teams involved know where to look for information.
Pros
- Tracking of projects from the point they were ingested all the way through completion
- Ability to customize views/spaces/etc. We keep things consistent at our top Space level but then encourage the owners of their spaces to create what they would like to see as relevant information
- They offer tons of resources and support if there is something we cannot figure out or understand
Cons
- Ability for parent tasks and subtasks to better 'talk' with one another
- Ability to turn on/off or show/hide certain features that we don't want to release to our entire account
- Better communication of upcoming updates and changes to the site
- Got mostly everyone in our Marketing department to buy into the process and use ClickUp to house their project work. Created excellent organization for those that adopted in fully to the site
- New features and releases have turned some users off from using certain capabilities of the site. They are either not needed for our instance or unwanted in general
- Were able to eliminate essentially doing double the work of having a project lie somewhere else and be worked on separate. Having everything in one uniform place has been essential to our recent success at completing projects
I would say yes, but we definitely have room for improvement too. We are constantly looking for new or better ways to get full buy in from our Marketing teams. In addition, getting some buy in from our senior leadership to use the site more frequently in their day to day has been challenging but not a complete loss. We are always looking to improve and ensure our workspace is as efficient as possible. And with that, I believe we will truly see the full collaboration across all our impacted teams.
We are working on this currently actually with the idea of worksheets. Our goal is to establish this at our main space level and have it serve as a one stop shop source of truth. This will host links to important docs/items, show who is on what team and their responsibilities.
I personally haven't been exposed to any similar sites or programs so I can't speak fully to this question.
