Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare for most aspects of our e-commerce solution. We have rate-limiting, firewall, DNS, and CDN. We not only were able to increase the performance and secure our site, but we were also able to provide custom content to our visitors based on their location. The domain registrar is also so nice to have integrated, so our domain is protected and updated automatically as it gets close to expiration.

  • Domain Registrar is lacking many TLDs.
  • Able to reduce server and database loads.
  • Able to decrease loading time and speed-up execution of javascript.
  • Image optimization is very powerful.
As far as pricing and features, Cloudflare is much better across the board. The number of edge locations around the globe ease of use makes Cloudflare a clear winner.
Cloudflare support is great if you have an Enterprise plan, it kind of goes down from there. I have created tickets in the past and had them answered in just short of 15 minutes and long as 1 day. Once you get in touch with someone in support it goes through a level-1, level-2, etc support hierarchy. I am mostly positive about my past experiences with support.

I would recommend Cloudflare to a colleague for many reasons. One nice thing is they have a generous free tier to help you get started for free. Once a site is set up there is lots of room for growth and the use of additional features.
