feedback for using Cloudflare
Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare
In our organization, we enrolled in Enterprise plan for protecting our websites and domain DNS records. SSL/TLS service, DNS records service, Security service are the most frequency to use by us. As we are using Enterprise plan, we made multiple custom rules in WAF to protect our websites which includes JS Challenge and bot management.
Pros
- JS Challenege rule in WAF
- bot management rule in WAF
- DNS records can be effective very quickly
Cons
- The service fee of bot management can be cheaper.
- API shield service need to be improved.
- Speed observatory service is a useful function.
- JS challenge service in WAF saved me 30% time cost in daily work.
- Bots management service in WAF saved me 40% time cost in daily work.
- DDos attack protect service saved me about 20% time cost in daily work.
Amazon CloudFront is a highly scalable CDN service integrated with AWS. Couldflare provides us more other functions and services than Amazon CloudFront. Google Cloud CDN offers fast and reliable content delivery with integration into Google Cloud services. But we didn't deploy production on Google Cloud. Cisco Umbrella is a cloud-delivered security service that includes DNS-layer security and threat intelligence. But it is expensive. We didn't choose Cisco Umbrella in the end.
Cloudflare’s implementation and onboarding process is straightforward and user-friendly. pdating DNS settings can be done relatively quickly. An immediate improvement in website performance when Cloudflare is active due to its CDN and caching capabilities. My organization experience a significant boost in security right away, thanks to Cloudflare’s DDoS protection and web application firewall (WAF). Cloudflare provides extensive documentation and support, which helps us get up to speed quickly.
