Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)

We are using ConnectWise Control to provide support throughout our 6 divisions to provide IT support for our end users. ConnectWise allows us to install the software on the computer directly so that we are not held up by an end user that is unable to follow our directions to join the support session. This saves us time, reduces frustration on all parties and allow us to provide A+ support.

Pros

  • Allows you to customize the connect code so that it is easier for the end user to type it in correctly.
  • Allows you to drop the software on all of the computers you support so that you can access machines easier to provide PM's and technical support.
  • Allows you to block the user's input so that they don't disrupt important processes.

Cons

  • We are very happy with how ConnectWise operates and have no suggestions for improvement at this time.
  • ConnectWise has definitely increased the efficiency of our technicians so that they can support multiple users easily and provide much needed support.
  • The ROI has allowed us to not add another technician at this time even with the heavy volume of tickets.
  • The cost point is not prohibitive for organizations either which is also beneficial.
We have utilized LogMeIn Rescue and WebEx and neither one of them work as well as ConnectWise. WebEx had issues with UAC and LogMeIn was difficult for the users to connect to. ConnectWise is much easier to use and the other platforms (JoinMe, TeamViewer, etc) do not hold a candle to the capabilities of ConnectWise.
I have tried a lot of different platforms to support end users and ConnectWise is the leader by leaps and bounds. It is well suited when you are providing IT support for any level of end users.
